Never had seagrass. Sounds pretty good.
Definitely worth a try.
Disney makes kids go crazy. And there’s always a meltdown.
Came here for the infinite whiskey hack.
Cheers guys! 🥃
Hey Scott! Cheers!
Also I just discovered Google AI text message help and here is a Shakespeare inspired rendition on the phrase, "Balloons are fun" that felt appropriate. Aha, aye! Balloons, those buoyant orbs of mirth, bring joy to young and old alike
🎈 big hit! Balloons for babies 😂 Love the outro logo flicker too. Very nice. Happy this sample was such a good experience!
Oh no Bryan. Next time we hang out, only Tears for Fears will play.
“How do you not know who Tears for Fears is?” 😂 Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind was a great ride! We were fortunate to ride it twice, but the ToF soundtrack was the absolute best soundtrack for the ride.
Great stuff love it.
I have batch 5 and absolutely love it !
Thank you saved my 200 bucks ! got Discovery 12 and love it! Great video Oh yeah nothing competes with Eagle rare ! My go to
Glad to hear it! Thank you! Yeah, we hate to come across as bashing them, but worth skipping this one. #eaglerare4life

I say Chill Filtered 2026 Meetup in Islay!
I’m there!!
I really enjoyed Copper Works when I was out in Seattle. They do a lot of experimentation with grains, maturation and finishing. Sorry to hear that release wasn’t up to snuff.
Yeah, I'm thinking it's just an off-batch.
❤❤❤🤎🤎🤎🧉🍸🍶
What a great episode, I'm excited to see where this company goes in the future especially with a 24 year old behind the helm he is a very talented individual with a lot of business savvy and high motivation. Wish them much success. Thanks for putting on another insightful episode.
The reason Canongate 14 can't be called a Bourbon is because the Distillery in Bardstown, KY for whatever reason put the distillate in new American oak barrels at an entry proof of 127, Bourbon by law has a max entry proof of 125.
Interesting! I'm curious, how did you find this out about the barrel entry proof?
@@chillfiltered Well I just purchased a bottle from one of my go to spots and was excited to see what I can find about this bottle online. I came across a review from "Whiskeyfellow" who had a media sample from The Perfect Fith and wrote a review back in May 2024 and it stated the reason its not a bourbon was because the entry proof was 127. In another article I read by Whiskey Advocate they wrote that the max entry point of bourbon is 62.5% ABV and the mere fact that this barrel was aged in the colder climate of Scotland for 11 years the ABV would have dropped much lower than 62.5% so when the team discovered the ABV to be almost 2% higher at 64.4% ABV when bottled they deduced that the barrel entry must have been higher than the legal 62.5% ABV entry for bourbon. After reading both articles that made total sense to me. I'm excited to have been able to pick up a bottle when only 232 were released from a single barrel. I also came across your RUclips video,, and agree that this bottle has a fun story with the whole born in Kentucky aged 3 years there and then bottled in Scotland after spending 11 years in Scotland. I've been subscribed to the podcast since earlier this year but didn't realize you guys had a RUclips channel, so I'll be checking you guys more often on here, keep up the great work with the podcast.
@@chillfiltered I just purchased a bottle of the Canongate 14 from my go to spot, and was interested in learning more about the bottle. I turned to online and came across a review by 'Whiskey Fellow" who had a media sample from earlier this year and he mentioned it wasn't bourbon because the entry proof was 127. I also came across another article by Whiskey Advocate and they mentioned the legal entry proof of bourbon is 62.5% ABV and since it was aged 11 years in a cool climate the ABV would have been lower, since it was bottled at 64.4% ABV almost 2% higher than 62.5%, the team deduced it must of have had an entry higher than the legal requirement. I also went back to Chill Filter episode 285 and Karl Schoen mentioned he was careful not to lable it a bourbon because of this.
Great episode! Really interesting whiskey! Enjoyed it.
Had to play dungeons and dragons with friends ... catching up now.
Is Bryan getting the World Whiskey Society Reserve Collection 12 year old Awamori Cask Finished Rye?
That bottle shape looks insane!
When is Cole coming to AZ and we came have a Del Bac barrel pick!?!
Nothing confirmed yet... but... keep your calendar clear Late Oct, Early Nov!
Sorry I missed it guys. Good on y’all.
I have been so wanting to try an octomore
This was good!!
🌬smokey! One day it will be HP light or dark!
So smoky! I know right? One of these days. Haha.
And so God rained down blessings of manna with a complimentary Stagg for all the Israelites. Lol, funny analogy!! 😂

I do my best. Haha. - Cole
Good karma for ethics on the birthday bottle!! Good luck for a double win!!
That'd be incredible if it worked out.
Great stuff guys. I havent tried the 13th 15th sounds pretty good.

Like the new scoring system!
Thanks Joey T!
Also, mega shoutout and congrats to your Dad, Cole. So happy to hear that! 🎉🎉
Thanks Katie! It's so amazing! - Cole
But will the homemade whiskey be....chill filtered?
To answer your question, I often think we should have named the podcast "Non-Chill Filtered". But alas, I didn't name it. Haha. - Cole
Brian had a much more clear take on the whiskey and had the better take on the overall product.
Thanks for watching!
Hope you're now primed for Matt Madness!
Here's hoping!
Nice whisky! I have a huge love of single malt peated scotch but this is a beauty from the U.S.!!
Thanks for listening! I know right? So cool what they're doing at Westland!
One of the Top 5 Whiskies of 2024!!!
We even revisited this last week in our blind competition called The Re-Entry Buzz. It scored even higher. Amazing!
100% never expected to hear DiSC assessments on the interview ever. Imma need to steal this guest.
You won't regret it. She's awesome!
Mia is an awesome person. Great interview.
100% agreed!! She is amazing! Thanks!
@@chillfiltered we should chat about a colab

First time watching your podcast. Great job! Thanks!
Thank you!! Welcome to our community!
If nothing stands out about a whiskey then it isn't an 8.9... If nothing stands out then it's average which is a 5... I just got an e-mail this morning from my store with the option to buy this and for $90 ($100 w/ tax) I decided to pass. Your review and a few others drove that decision. My basement has over 300 bottle of whiskey, most of which cost $90 or less, and no shelf space left. No room for another bottle that doesn't stand out - and these things take up too much shelf space with the squat design. Their Rye whiskey is great. If they do a release of the rye at cask strength I think that would be pretty great.
Yeah, haha, can't say our number scale is exactly linear these days. That's why we're trying to incorporate the letter rating as well. And totally agreed with their cask strength ryes. Just picked up a hazmat single barrel rye and it is delish.
Cole doesn’t love sweating, but he almost never wears shorts and walks around with the trench of swampy goodness?
This has gotten me in trouble only a rare few times. But when it does..... it's trenchy.
Hey! My BFF Ben! Congrats on the new job! Love that you're enjoying it so much--it makes all the difference in quality of life. Too cool! Happy belated birthday Cole! Hope you had a great day! I'm coming up on Thursday. Birthdays with babies hits different. Hit us up with the vasectomy news! Lots of dudes get them, and it could be nice to get a friendly persepctive on it! Got the package, you are FAST! Thanks for the goodies! Great episode. Would have been funny if you never said Ben's name in this ep. Tshirts for the meetup? Team Too-er vs Team Toer? Mostly jk...but at least a survey by show of hands ✋️
Ben's legit! Thanks! Happy birthday to YOU! I likely will. Only a matter of time. Probably sooner than later. Good! Thanks for the Patreon support! That t-shirt idea is actually good. Or we'll have to do a battle/game of Too-ers vs. Toers.
I appreciate you thinking of my one off contribution, but I thought we had a youthy, soapy small barrel note on the Grand Canyon
Did we? Maybe we did! I kept thinking I wanted to wait until we tried it on the podcast, but we probably did try it together.
@@chillfiltered not sure if we tried that one (hard to remember from over 3 years ago) or if it was something else
Favorite part was when Col. John put the giant sphere of ice on top of his glen 😂Also loved the lighting conversation. Good stuff! ❤
