I am using this channel to post videos of some of my favorite classical piano pieces (with occasional jazz or more modern repertoire mixed in.) I am not a concert pianist, but have been playing since the age of 7, am classically trained with a music degree, and teach privately. These performances may not be perfect, but I hope they are still enjoyable! This is a way for my family and friends to listen to me play from afar. I hope that you hear something new that causes you to explore genres that you may not be familiar with, and I will do my best to do justice to the composers that have written these musical masterpieces!

I filmed this as the sun was setting over the water, below dark clouds as a storm was rolling in...I'd say that's an appropriate backdrop for this piece.

Very nice performance. Leroy Anderson originally wrote Forgotten Dreams in 1954 as an instrumental piece for piano and string orchestra. Mitchell Parish wrote the lyrics in 1962. It is always more challenging to write lyrics after a composition is written. The original orchestral music and Leroy Anderson's arrangement for solo piano are the best.
