It happens in May of each year. This year the event and is happening on Saturday, May 3rd.

It it a pretty cool spot. The road/trail to get there is pretty steep and fun too

Thanks for the watch and the comment. Those water holes are on the Indian Joe trail not far off the 101 Service Road on the West side of Five Mile Lake. I use the GAIA app and recently made all my travelled routes public.

Do you mean on my SxS? Those are Maxxis Liberty's. If you mean the Jeep, those are KO2's :) In either case they work fine in the snow for me

@@BackCountrySxSAdventures I meant the Jeep. I've heard the K03s are pretty good in the snow and you look like someone with experience.

@@Whiskey61 KO2's now, due for replacement this Spring. Not sure what I'll install next. TheKO2's have served me well in all conditions though.

Is that the DJI wireless mic you’re using? I’ve often considered buying a wireless mic, but to be honest I find it’s picking up the engine sound over your voice. These machines are so loud inside it’s a hard thing to overcome. I just yell at my camera, seems to work most of the time lol 🍻

@@ScotianOff-Road I think they’re all pretty much the same for noise. I know above 5000 rpm, mine get very loud, and the turbo… I love it

used to have an INSTA360 X3 but ended up scratching both lenses. Replaced it with the X4 a couple months back and that's now in China having a scratched lens repaired ffs. They are cool cameras but the lenses protrude a lot and are very easily damaged.

@ yah that’s brutal ! No lenses are safe when dealing with off-road filming I suppose !

@@Tphinn506 Lenses of any action camera are always at risk but many of the newer ones have replaceable lens guards that help a lot. The X4 has them but they do cause a noticeable stitch line unfortunately.

I am not 100% sure what the official policy/rule is for those trails with the new work being done there but assume it will continue to be an off highway trail still (except for emergencies) and wil lbe off limits to road legal vehicles.

There's definitely some nice trails around the area. Not sure how those we rode here will be impacted by the new 102-#2 connector highway. Will be interesting to see what happens there.

Not sure which part of the trail you are referring to for a pin drop. we started our ride at the parking lot of the Beaverbank Kinsac Lions Club on Sandy Lake Road. From there we made our way to the Irving Big Stop in Enfield. There's a few trails in that area that will take you to the same area.

It's the trail up to Sandy Pond that you access in the community of South Branch. I liked that climb (pretty steep in sections) more than the one outside Port aux Basques and it's the same mountains but higher elevation

I won't be going back next year (2025) as I'm retiring back to Newfoundland in the Spring/Summer of 2026 so I'l get to ride all those trails as I like :)

That piece of trail is near Upper Rawdon, I believe it's called Simms Road and we entered at a fork in the trail at coordinated 45.08212, -63.72883 It's a nice section for sure.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe he may have needed the extra width to accommodate the 32" tires. I've run wheel spacers on an ATV before and also on my Jeep for a few years with no issues. I think that these were either a cheaply made set or had a defect in the studs.

@BackCountrySxSAdventures Honestly I prefer the engine noise over tunes,I am old and all the copyright mess is frustrating all you can put on and not get in trouble is elevator music. Just turn down the schreech and I am good. Nice video liked and subscribed 👍
