Yeah mate I know so many guys had a hard time there. It'll be on the video once finished. getting to where I launched off was hard enough itself. The 450fx definitely likes to deliver the power to the ground.

hey there, my bike personally is fitted with a fan. it comes on now and then. however, this bike is extremely nimble and easy to throw around. I personally find it really enjoyable to ride in the woods. The GYTR fuel mapping is insane. I've got one fuel map which is for tight technical woods type riding and one for full on power for everything else. both maps are available at a push of a button on the go. Its super easy to tune it to the type of power delivery you want from your smart phone.

@southerndirtbikeadventures as of today I'm highly considering this bike. I mostly want it for idaho desert riding, but since my boy is begging for my beta xtrainer I may need something that can be used up in the mountains on single track stuff. How is the suspension for that kinda stuff? Probably pretty stiff for a 160lb rider? Thanks

Hey again. I really rate this bike. I'd say you'll love it. However it is alot heavier than the 300 2 strokes. Very nimble and easy to ride untill your stuck then it becomes heavy. I'm around 90kg ive set the suspension alittle on the softer side. When it was brand new it was very stiff I soon changed that. I think the newer 2025 modle has had some weight reductions made. There's another great video ash snowman from nz does on the 450fx that video sold the bike for me. Check it out

Torquey fuel map Fuel injection +2 & +3 in throttle and rpm ranges Ignition -5 & -6 in throttle and rpm ranges I run this map in wet and slippery conditions seems too preform we'll.

@@southerndirtbikeadventures would you worry about trying to run a lean fuel saving map for lake to sea on a yz450f? Or just take fuel in the back pack. ? All standard bike

@@greenroom246 for memory the 450f has a smaller tank but I'm sure you'd make it on any fuel map it's about 70k before lunch break/ refuel. Think my 450fx had about 2-3L left at lunch break

@johnmclaughlin4802 hey man we're Riding in New Zealand. I really rate the yz. I actually haven't ridden a wr450f. I came off the motocross model yzf. I liked the yz450fx over the motorcross model. one of the main reasons was gearing short first long 5th. Mainly for enduro type riding. I'm sure the wr would be a awesome bike.

Hey, 100% have a fan installed. I installed it myself, ordered it from my local yamaha shop bolts on and plugs in super easy. Definitely worth it is comes on quite often in these situations.

Oh mate that's rough. The 300 would be a mean bike also.

Yoo I've been riding for a while now but never had a chance to take on dirt, got any bikes you'd recommend for someone wanting to test the waters?

​@@avixs1543definitely a Yamaha 😅 few things too considered height and weight. Enduro/ trail bikes are geared nicer for slower technical stuff where mx bikes are full noise long range first gear. Alot depends on how and what you want to ride. I love the 450fx for a all round bike but it can be real heavy. Like in the video
