Some of these layers are really great...considering how cheap you can get both modules nowadays on the second-hand market. The magic often just happens because of some chorus and reverb effects being used.

These are amazing machines. Bought mine for £100. It’s essentially an E4X sampler with a very high quality weighted action seven octave keyboard attached. It has all the sampling power of the E series samplers with different and warmer filter chips to the later ultra series samplers. Has dual RFX card as standard and is expandable up to 128mb. Has eight outs. Also, the AD/DA converters are different to the later ultra range and have a wider stereo image. They’re also getting rare to find. Much rarer than the rack units. I use mine as the controller keyboard in my studio and use it to re sample stuff between the keyboard and my rack samplers. These beasts sound huge and will fill up the audio spectrum in your tracks easily.

Jesus Christ. It sounds just like Super Smash Bros Melee on the Gamecube.. Yea, this half rack is mine. Some people on old forums in 2007 where saying "it doesn't sound good without an SRX card." I'm convinced some people are tone deaf after listening to this. The half realistic half bit sounding horns, the realistic yet magical lush sounding orchestra.. it's straight out of a Gamecube game. It even sounds a bit like Soul Caliber II on the Gamecube as well actually. So beautiful. These people are crazy. I'm convinced. Hey, more for me, and for the people who actually have good ears to hear how much of a great hidden gem this rack module is. 🤷‍♂️ I'm so happy right now. I needed a module for 2 last SRX cards, and didn't want to have redundant sounds/patches, and after searching for literally every rack option that supported SRX cards nonestop over the past month, this was it. ✊️ Finally. Thank God. The search is over.. 😮‍💨😂
