Just got myself a dragonfly, love the fittings and overall aesthetic. The very heavy curved blade is definitely going to be a good cutter, only problem is the edge came a bit rough. I've never sharpened anything that doesn't have a secondary bevel so I'm reluctant to try it, and I don't know anyone local who would be knowledgeable in sharpening katana unfortunately. Nice cutting my friend love your channel.

@@RodneyKatana something i forgot to mention is that i really think these were utilized from horseback more than anything else i think their battlefield application was completely different than their european counterparts since they were most popular in the kamakura / dual courts era

EDIT**** i forgot to mention that tenshin ryu teaches nodachi i made an error in saying schools don’t teach nodachi online i am not a professional i am currently only self taught. i just wanted to share some of the things i do to use this sword. 😊 sword stats - custom nodachi by hanbon forge nagasa - 120cm / 47” tsuka - 44cm / 17.3” weight - 5.9 pounds
