I took up sewing at age 10 and now 74 but there were years and years of gaps through my journey A few machines had bobbins jamming to the point of tossing them out. When I got this new machine a year ago and anxiety kept me from trying it. a friend asked if I could hem her curtains. The real reason it decided today to bite the bullet. Right off the bat I could not figure out how to thread I was so gravely disappointed. You made it simple and easy. I have subscribed. You should be a teacher.

Could you show how to adjust the feed dog pressure?I have the exact same machine and mine dose not grip the fabric at all to sew I have to have one hand behind the machine catching/pulling the cloth through and the other hand next to my stomach holding tension fresh out of the box I'm guessing everything wasn't adjusted right 🤨🤷

Thank you! I followed all your instructions, they were very clear, and the bobbin fit right in, but when I try to pull that bottom thread up with the top thread, it doesn't seem to turn the bobbin wheel to catch that thread. Do you have another tutorial covering that issue?

And my next question is what in the world is the darning foot and what is it for

Could I use a button hole stitch to repair a small tear in a fabric?Possibly use a fabric adhesive to temporarily close the hole until the button stitch is complete.

Was this a problem the lx3817 gives often or was it a problem because the operator didn't thread the machine correctly 🤔 maybe in a hurry

This machine has no auto threader but the machine is so cute with the blue design

Thank you for the help I have just purchased the exact same sewing machine and it has me confused to why the tension wheel is in the way of the threading of the machine

What I needed to know is dose the thread go over or under the wheel with the numbers on it and where before the thread starts to go back up it looks like that area around that wheel has no where to put start the thread back up

Well, mine is bunching because it’s getting stuck when trying to get the bobbin thread. I watched it, and it never releases from that little plastic round thing that spins, so it catches the bobbin thread and brings it up but just keeps twirling around the wheel
