Yes my parents told me that was the in thing when town centre was actually decent, same down Plungington (but that’s for another video 😆) there’s still another part we need to upload which is Friargate onwards, I guess is is kind of depressing when you think of what it used to be and how it is now (not that the video was ment to achieve this 😅) it’s just good to look back and see the changes even if they are for the worse

@@Adventure-With-UsYou did a great job documenting the town, which I'm sure will be of great interest to people in the future, much like the old photos you used, alas last time i visited 9 years ago was to bury my mother, and even then i hardly recognised the place, everyone i knew is either dead or moved away, so no ties to the place anymore.

Whilst I can’t disagree with you it has for the past 20ish years gone down hill, lovely historic buildings getting demolished, the eyesore of the new market and the abundance of boarded up and empty shops, doesn’t make it look nice 😞

Thank you, we visited last year but it seems that this year is better than ever, we are planning on trying to visit other Christmas markets but some appear to not be allowing filming

We could do an undercover recording but I’m not sure that they will try to take out video down if they see it on RUclips, maybe we will have to ask for permission

Oh yes, we’ve noticed that, barbers, phone shops and betting shops, that’s interesting there’s going to be more parts in the historical type videos, we do a bit of research before we set out, are you from Blackpool?

@@Adventure-With-Us yes I’m from Blackpool. I have taken pictures of boer war memorials, they’re quite rare now I have loads of good ideas for history videos.

Yes I agree! Blackpool used to be such a nice place to go shopping and to go out for a day or even weekend away, its such shame that its become the way it has. Councils no longer spend time or money to do the places up to make it look nice, because these places have become run down no one ever comes to visit - and don't get me started on one way streets/bus lanes and expensive parking! - those will be coming in later videos ;)

Unfortunately thats how it is nowadays :/, no interaction with everyone, its like a ghost town

It certainly is, everything is online social media these days, if someone is on fire it will be viable for someone to Instagram it before actually calling emergency services.

It’s a Town but it was in talks of being a City, that’s why I got confused ahha 😅 I assumed they gave the Town a City status but I guess not
