Rebel Ridge, directed by Jeremy Solnier, stars Aaron Pierre, Anna Sophia Robb, and Don Johnson. This action-packed thriller runs just over 2 hours and is suspenseful until the very end. I rate this film 4/5 stars due to the direction, plot, cast, and well- choreographed action sequences. #netflix #rebelridge #review
Cobra Kai never dies! 🐍🥋 Can’t wait until part 2!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I really enjoyed this movie! It was surprisingly good
Me too! This one definitely surprised me! Not too shabby, Netflix, not too shabby!
This movie does not follow the logic of Back to the future. Lucy is from an alternate timeline. In her original timeline, her mother and father are grieving the lost of another daughter that disappeared suddenly. Lucy exist because she was already born into this world from her timeline. Her saving her sister created a third timeline. At best they would have to explain to the mother and father in the past the truth and show them older pictures on the phone. maybe get a DNA test to also prove it. She probably had a plug in her pocket to recharge her phone like most teens do.
I can appreciate that viewpoint, but even the killer states that he built a Time Machine to go “back to 2003”, indicating that this is not a multiverse of sorts, but rather explaining time as linear.
@@AshHoleFilms multiverse are created every time you make a different decision from the original path. In other words I live my life until I am 30. Then go back to visit myself at 10. In my life I never met a 30 year old version of me when I was 10. So me going back altered younger me into an alternate timeline. A second universe where 10 year old me meets a 30 year old me. That is a multiverse. a different outcome from the original universe outcome. One where I never meet an older version of myself. another where a younger version meets me. Also the killer states to himself in the film by killing yourself it doesn't effect me. Time doesn't work that way. Meaning you younger kid die in this timeline, but I live on. That helps the killer, because going forward on that timeline just creates two versions of him living in the same place. If you follow what they say in the film, they are using the same logic that marvel movies and especially comics use. The more times you travel in time. The more alternate timelines you make.
@ That actually makes sense! Thanks for breaking it down that way 😊 Good conversation and very thought- provoking!
The movie has potential, yet they didnt flourish it enough. Maybe they didnt have the budget like marvel. I kinda understand that the sci-fi part was them using the concept of multiverse, but yeah, lucy couldnt exist without parents. Is she an alien? 😂 i think the movie focused on showing the differences of eras more rather than them making the movie sensible, scientifically.
Absolutely! This movie had an interesting premise, but there was little to no explanation of the concept of time travel. This movie felt very thrown together and once the killer was revealed, the ending was kind of rushed.
So…. I didn’t think this was the worst movie I’ve ever watched, however I enjoy cheesy movies lol. I wish they would have done a FULL recap of that day at the beginning of the film, showing where they threw Quinn in the water. I feel like that would’ve given us a better connection to that character and the “why” he’s doing this now type of situation. Although, even without that it was pretty predictable. I called it being Quinn minutes into his character being introduced lol. Great review!
@@ashleymarie7099 thank you so much! I didn’t think of that, but what a great idea! Just having a recap would have given more insight to how Quinn felt and honestly that would’ve made more sense as to why he held such a grudge. The movie kind of glazed over those details.
This is giving Totally Killer vibes but different story
Yes! Very similar movies!
I enjoyed the movie, personally. The old man didn’t have to die though, that was sad. 🥲 I liked the ALMOST escape plans, to me it showed hope for her character, like she was still trying to fight instead of just giving up completely. She was SO close when the cop showed up, I was definitely on the edge of my seat during the entirety of the movie. Great review and I love the alternate ending idea!
Thank you! I agree, they could’ve spared old Saint Nick 🥲 I really appreciate your support and thanks so much for commenting!
I haven’t started this series but it sounds REALLY interesting!
@@ashleymarie7099 It’s a fun show and although it’s a part of the Marvel universe, it feels like its own standalone show and timeline.
I’ll definitely be adding that to my watch list!
I think you’ll enjoy it! 😊
Good review! I loved the movie too!
Glad you enjoyed it! This was definitely one of the best movies I’ve seen all year!
Omg! Imagine we actually lived in a society like that? It’s definitely giving Divergent/Maze Runner vibes.
It would be kinda scary! And yes, I feel like this is a familiar theme!
Watched it and pretty good
I went in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised!
Anaconda is such a good movie omg 😮
@@Hallo-p6h it actually is! It was scary to me at that age though 😂
Mine was surf Nina’s I will never forget
That seems like such a cool movie to watch on the big screen! ❤️
A society where Joey King is not attractive enough to join? I both want to live in that society, and would never be admitted, even with cosmetic surgery.
@@ronconte4292 😂😂😂 I did notice that in the movie, essentially everyone is considered one of the “uglies” until surgery, so even “pretty” by our standards would still be expected to improve, unfortunately.
😂😂😂 did one of us have a crush on Jlo😂😂😂
