I have been using this system since last year and it has worked great.
Awesome mate 👍👍
Looks like you had a pearla of a time
Yeah it was awesome
What a gorgeous trip with great mates. The wildlife on that last morning was spectacular. Love it!
Yes awesome time over in WA
that's awesome mate..watch all your vids .Im in townsville now but from Perth, and miss the place..your vids make me wanna Go back.. enjoy mate u deserve it 🤙
Thanks mate, really appreciate your comments 🤙👍
I have an ARDENT Heavy Duty Battery Box with 4x 50amp and 1x 175amp Anderson Plugs (in/out charging). There's a built-in (not bolted on) 1200w inverter, 2x USB ports and 2x 12v cig plug outlets. Inside, there's a 120amp LiFPo4 lithium battery. My 45L fridge/freezer draws 1amp per hr. I have a microwave that runs off the inverter... and a toaster... and a travel kettle... even a rechargeable battery/mains powered oscillating fan with a light. You can find all these low-draw amperage items if you look around. I got the mw from IKEA in OZ and the kettle from England. The battery can be charged via 240v or via my DC-DC in-car charger, or from my solar blanket through a MPPT Controller. I'm sharing this because my Ardent Battery Box and 120amp Lithium Battery was purchased together in 2022 for around AUD$500 Not the thousands this guy is talking about. Look around. Do your own research.
No worries mate. It's good to get others opinions and ideas. Thanks for sharing 👍
I know what you mean by the rubbish mate. I’ve bought a rubbish grabber so I have to bend over or touch it , 12 bucks at supercheap.
Maybe I need to grab one too!
Sick side lockers. Shame the door opens at face height 😂
Yep.. 👍
Put your uhf aerial away from the big bracket, it will be better. Maybe on top of big bracket or roof top. This could improve reception and transmission. Big ups fae Scotland.
Thanks mate, and hi from Australia 🤙👍
Hello i had to subscribe , well i followed you through twmba today passed bunnings and i said to my partner quick take a pic of that user tag.... a fellow youtuber in the neighbourhood . You turned off , im guessing hometime, and i headed out 45kms to pitty. Omg the roadwork ....took ages to get home ......
Oh wow! How cool is that!! Yes local Toowoomba ite. Thanks for the subscribe! 👍👍
@@prado150outahere you're welcome. I'm just in the process of opening an online parts store all things automotive, pets, camping, caravaning and 4wding. i used to work in roadhouses, in the northern territory up at timber creek and ti-tree, then moved more inland more arid to warrakurna roadhouse on the gun barrel hwy W.A in indigenous community of the Ngaatjatjarra
Wow, that's awesome! Let me know how it goes! 👍
The two oceans meet at the Augusta light house. Awesome spot at that light house your at when the whales are on the move.
Ah yep. We did get corrected by the tourist guide 😁😁
In Sydney we don't have -20 winters so I'm never going to see the 5w part that I'd be wasting money on, I dare say Qld would be the same. At 15-20C looking at graphs, all weights are pretty close together in performance so I'd be confidant in saying having a 5w is rather pointless unless you're in the VicHC. I have a HJ61 with 500,000km on it, has no blow by, blows no smoke. It's happy to run 15w40 Castrol RX Diesel, Delvac, Rimula from the 20L drums. I've found these heavy duty oils for fleet use to be an improvement over shelf items and are cheaper. I have a 4 year old Triton that runs on that thin 5w-30 enviro stuff all the modern diesels use for emissions, once it gets close to it's service interval it sometimes starts to weep oil. I'm guessing because of the dilution thinning it out. Once warranty is over I'll be going a DPF suitable fleet 15w-40. I've run diesel oil in my Nissan Skyline, oil pressure is great and the internals are spotless.
Yes mate I do agree with what your saying. I'm sticking to the 15w40 as well 👍
Well done. Kept it simple without long diatribes. Looking forward to your next one!
Thanks
Some commentary about all this would be good.
It's funny hey, one comment is that they like the no dialogue and but you'd like some 😄
Will the battery box take their 120x battery?
Yes it will.
@@prado150outahere Thanks
No worries!
Hi does it need to be in neutral and foot on brake when turning TRC....off ??
No, you can do it in drive👍
Why aren't the water lines part of the Quality Assurance testing before they go on the showroom floor!?
Yep that's it
OIL CLEANLINESS EGR contributes a HUGE amount to contaminants. The reason why a 7mm hole cannot be smaller is it will trigger an engine code . It can be done 100% by electronic box .with blanking plate . Remember debris in inlet air intake REDUCES throttle response / reduces fuel economy / reduces power and torque / leaves deposits on injectors and combustion chambers / wears out timing chain links
👍
diesel or petrol Choose diesel Early old school or later pre Dpf or Dpf model viscosity cold climate 5w/30 or normal/hot weather 5w/40 or 10w/40 interval change every 5,000 to 10oookm change fuel filter yearly Remove and clean egr and clean cooler 50,000--100000km clean inlet manifold every 100oookm
👍
Cleaning an egr system was common place in automotive now only done by scheduled servicing is heavy industry . Car makers delete this to show u ""how low the maintenance costs are"" AN ABSOLUTE LIE . Valve clearances need checking every 100,000km MAP and MAF sensors need cleaning every 30,OOOKM
Thanks for the info 👍
Well, if this guy knows as much about suspension as he does oil, you can expect to be stranded hundreds of km's from anywhere on your next trip...
Not sure why the comment, I'm extremely happy with his work and knowledge, and so are other people. The purpose of that video was just to have a brief chat about oils and how confusing it can. Not too deep a discussion. 👍
I've just complete a 16000km trip with no issues too
Since they stopped manufacturing Ryco filters in Australia, I've used genuine oil/fuel/air filters. The Ryco fuel filters are now made in China and is reflected in the quality. Check the diameter of the bottom of the fuel filter (water sensor end) and you will find it is 51mm as apposed to the 53mm genuine Toyota filter, which means the clamp with the rubber insert will just fall off. Ryco have been aware of the issue for years and failed to rectify the problem. The oil filters are, well, ordinary. The drilled holes for the oil flow are usually quite rough, but they do give you a metal sump plug washer... Ughh, throw it away! The genuine Toyota oil filters are much better quality and usually cheaper than the Ryco filters. Then there is the air filter. Again, cost cutting on display here, the pre-filter screen is missing off the Ryco filters (to save money presumably) and they are quite expensive. Can't comment on Nulon oil as I have never used it. Personally, I've never used anything but Penrite oil in my vehicles. People, do yourself a favour and buy genuine Toyota filters. Trying to save a few $$ may cost you dearly in the long run.
No worries, thanks for the info
1KD in my manual recommends CF4 oil, good luck finding a 5w30 oil in that spec, almost all companies make CF4 in 15w40 weight
👍
Get a new mechanic if he thinks the purpose of an EGR valve is to recirculate unburnt fuel.
Nah he's the best mechanic I know, and I'm not sure he said that exactly
@@prado150outahere 05:08 "... it's taken back through the combustion chamber, and it will reburn any unburnt fuel in that exhaust gas" The whole point of the EGR valve is to introduce inert gas to the cylinder. This reduces the amount of available oxygen so the engine adds less fuel. At low loads the cylinder will not efficiently burn the fuel volumes necessary to maintain correct Air-fuel ratio. At low engine load, introducing an inert gas you can add less fuel, you get a complete combustion with no free oxygen to react. The exhaust gases have cooled in the process of expansion, they add a thermal mass to the contents of the cylinder that avoids the detonation or knock when the flame front advances. The free oxygen you would have if you simply lean the mixture, causing detonation, reacts with the nitrogen and creates the Nox gases that are detrimental to the health of everyone. Adding unburnt fuel of an unknown concentration would contradict the entire purpose of the valve.
Thanks mate for the comments, I will show Dan and let him know. I think he may have just said it incorrectly. He's been working on my car for the past 4 years and it couldn't be running better. Cheers mate.
Reuben is a awesome guy keep up the great content mate👍

Hint: Go easy and don’t fasten the plug so tight! It has nothing to hold but itself and the threat is conical, much easier to damage than cylindrical.

Convicts didn't dig the tunnel I think you'll find civilian contractors dug the tunnel back in the 1800's

On that information you've given, it should be ample. However, it depends on the condition of those AGMs. Itechworld also have a 300 watt solar blanket as well.

Hows this battery going after a year?
Still going strong. I have since bought their newer model battery which fits better in the Prado and my son Joshua is using this one now in his BT50, which we connected to Itechworld's DCDC charger. The one now under bonnet in Prado also no issues.
No need to remove fuel lines, no need to remove filter housing, undo only the one small connector. Then simply spin off the filter canister and replace.
No worries
Thanks. Point taken. I deleted my comments. Deletion of channel will follow
Yep no worries
Great vid bud.
