Ice fishing, winter camping, bushcraft, hiking, fire cooking, gear, all things nature and outdoors in ontario Canada
camp cooking: curried sausage.
I've been living on the road and present on the grand river. I always eat good, but today was a little more special.
their were a couple of people watching cook my food, and I sent them on their way with a plate. I hope they enjoyed it. after dinner, I finished off the night talking to a real cool old timer. g

Clam digging catch and cook. Nova Scotia
Просмотров 497Год назад
My journey has taken me from Ontario to Nova Scotia. I am here to spend time with my daughters and experience life on the other side of this beautiful country we live in. I apologize for losing the actual footage of digging the clams, but I did atleast throw in some pics. I truly feel that my soul is transforming and healing right now.

I’m heading out on a trip myself!! Good video! Will watch the rest as well
Not too sure how I came about this channel, but greetings from West Palm Beach Florida! Thanks for the great information.
Leave the background music out.
Wedge a stick in the mouth to hold it open...
Grwat idea. But, in this case, I was standing in the middle of the river in chest waders
Where did you buy that left handed axe
Left-handed axe??
Don’t put yourself down! Excellent video, very informative.
Thanks for the 45 degree angle broken limbs tip, never thought about that.
I burn firewood all winter. As I’m splitting I encounter fat wood and have made a stash as I don’t burn it in the wood stove. I probably have a half chord of the stuff. I keep a couple pieces in my day pack and some in my truck tool box also. Pitch works well also to start a fire in the rain, I usually grab some of the hardened balls as they pack well.
Good to see your still homeless. Not getting any younger and still playing with your phone and making videos. Your poor kids. Such a let down!
its nice to watch a video where a man admits he cant rebuild Atlantis from the contents of an Altoids can. i enjoyed this very much ty.
That's a great analogy 🙌 Thank you
The Freshest stage, Yeo
Excellent, and I just found an area full of Shrimp of the woods while harvesting Chicken of The Woods
What is with the Wendy’s lol
Haha ... it was what he brought down with him and joined me. lol he was a pretty cool cat
great info thanks
Anytime
Good smelling sir
Nettle soup is lovely & dandelion tea. Hi from the West of Ireland
I've never tried nettle soup. But I'm definitely going to now. Thank you 🙌
I love fishing. I used to go with my dad when I was younger. Hi from the West of Ireland
Hi 🙌 Fishing is beautiful pass time. Thanks for checking out my video :)
Looked like a great trip in OS. Couple of nice salmon on the glow spoons and some great food and a dip in the water. Was this recent? Might go there with my son.
This all happened this weekend 🙌 Owen sound.
Was a very needed trip
I tried those. No luck
They work very well. Try putting peanut behind the foot trigger
Where is this spot? Where would be best place to dig clams ? I will be visiting nova scotia and would like to try this.
This particular spot was in Digby NS at Gulliver cove. But the clams are on all beaches around the entire province. Best seafood in the world is in NS. Enjoy your visit 🙌
@@hardwatercamper thank you, great video, it got me inspired for a road trip to NS.
@davrocket5304 Thank you. I really wish I was still out there. I'm stuck at home in Ontario now lol
What can you put on lighter not to seal the sap from coming out other than superglue?
Still in Ontario, still being a loser on his own. Try paying your bills!
Gotta watch them balls🤣 Very nice my friend 🤠
Thank you.
Where did you get it? and what size is your basket?. Keep up the great work!👍
🤓👍🏻That looked like some pretty good stuff. Always a good thing to make good use of the resources that are available in the area. Stay safe, be blessed.✝
Thank you. It's always good to feel BLESSED 🙌 It was definitely good stuff. Very healthy. Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Thank you for this information.
You're very welcome. You should give it a try. You'll never regret it. Thank you for watching😊
Only two worms 🪱 😂😂😂😂
It’s probably a snowmobile trail
Almost as fun to watch as it is to do. Fatwood is probably my favorite smell, even better than cedar.
Glad the tires I bought carried your sorry ass out there. Not much of a stand up guy are you? Who else did you rip off to get there?
Almost lost some eyebrows there bro lol
Lol
Wish I had a plate trust me this man is a true chef
It was actually delicious. You would have loved it
That’s not a road jay lol
It is now 😉
Greetings from Romania. I don't know if there are pine trees in your area because it has the richest wood with fatwood. As a rule, I harvest wood with resin from pine trunks that have fallen to the ground, thus reducing the risk of accidents. When joining the branches with the trunk, it is the best wood. In videoul de mai jos se poate vedea modul in care recoltez fatwood. ruclips.net/video/toi6RUBjfXQ/видео.html
The only place I've been able to find fatwood is the outdoor section of my local Home Depot store! Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you. 🙏 I appreciate it
😂😂😂
Great job, nice trout!
Thank you, Dan. Happy New Year, brother
@@hardwatercamper Happy new year to you as well!
what area or place? Tnx
This is located in northwestern Ontario. Capreol
👍
👏👏👏🇹🇷
Hey cool vid and great tune! Cheers from southern ont
Thank you. I'm from Southern Ontario also. Just came to NS 2 months ago.
Love clamming! Haven’t done it in so long though… it was great to watch you get out there.
I'm really loving it out here. I can't describe it. Everything just feels right. Thank you for watching
@@hardwatercamper Are you just visiting the east coast or have you moved out there?
@@GreybeardAdventures I'm very much considering the move. As of now I am still a visitor
@@hardwatercamper where do you call home now? Funny, we strongly considered moving out there too. Love the east coast (and I have a lot of family out there!)
It should be translated also
Keep up the good work man!
Looked delicious! Nice catch 👍
Thank you
Quite the git er done video lol, nice catch but the lack of fillet knife I feel your pain
Lol thanks. I was definitely winging it on this one.
I see you spent the money for the high-end axe. Hope the RUclips thing works out for you.
Thank you. That axe was stolen from me out of my truck. Now I have the bigger version of same axe 🪓
Beautiful spot! 🤘🏻
Thank you for clearly explaining what fatwood is and how to harvest it. Great video 👍
Thank you. I appreciate 🙏 your words
Keep up the good work ... nice to see someone put out an honest vid..
