Is it my imagination or does that Fine nib write more like an a Extra Fine?

I’d never heard of these til today, but I just bought the blue one you have. How do you like it after having it for a while?

I like everything about this pen, EXCEPT the cap doesn't post securley on the pen. It rattles. Were it not for that, it would be my favorite pen. Do any of yours do this?

Cracked, split cap, drys easy as cap loosens by itself--on of the worst pens ever. Very hard starter because cap does not stay down.

Strange--this pen got good reviews everywhere recently. Maybe they improved nib in past year.

I have the yellow Lucina 🙂 I use the cartridge and when it’s empty, I clean it and fill it with other ink using a blunt syringe. Takes a long time till the cartridge is empty.

Love the Sailor pens..........I own two Professor for Profit, two Lecoule and one Procolor. Very unique feel when writing. My experience has been great quality and workmanship. Worked right out of the box. Lower priced models very reasonably priced and great value for the money.

I'm glad I found this review! I do not have the A1, but I do have the Hongdian 885 Mt Qomolangma with the same nib. It is one of my most satisfying writers, behaving as you have demonstrated. (By the way, the 885s came in three colors, black, white, and red. The black and white nibs were two-toned, as you describe, black or silver-toned, which led me to choose the red.)

I am using Diamine Green Black. I think that works well with this nib.

I saw this in Aliexpress sold by a vendor who only sells only Japanese pens. The pen is quite a deal for a Maki-e - about S$180.

In general, Jinhao pens are terrible. I have many--even the ones that were all a rage about 8 years ago. I don't touch them anymore. Jinhao has improved, but still feel line you're writing on a nail. Why don't reviewers consider that aspect of the nib--too pointy and sharp. Jinhao Centennial 100 is not too bad. They're smooth but too sharp--only for Chinese whose lack of alphabet requires very fine, often dry nibs to write all those millions of tiny thin lines. In West, we have no such need and prefer wet, juicy and smooth, preferably broad like Cross. China should learn from Cross--curve nib around feed, create a space, and ink flows smooth, wet, and juicy, but this is not what Chinese want--they hate such pens. My wife is Chinese--she writes with dry, extremely fine nib old Platinum fountain pen which I hate.

Hello, I know you have the EF nib, but the pen should come with an F nib too. Do you happen to know whether the F nib is a round nib or a sword nib?

Kaigelu is way better. Can’t believe how cheap the jinhao seems to be when comparing both of them. Kaigelu feels more substantial, the converter is way better and the material is way more visual appealing on the Kaigelu.

This Hong Dian 6016 is like 金克木pen, the clip is very stiff, looks like I should be looking to buy the 660 instead... though it is a bit more expensive.

Thankyou for this video. With the upturned shaped tipping you noted in the video did you notice any line variation on up strokes vs side strokes with no pressure(unflexed nib) like on some other "mini fude" nibs. Thanks again.

Is it a schmidt nib and how does it compare to your other schmidt nib pens? I own a Muji and i have a love hate relation with the nib. I love the feedback but sometimes it dictates how i write and writing certain curves cedes a bit of my control

The Stainless version of the Jinhao 35 is a very nice writer and well balanced. The black one with a different nib is fit for the trash. Just don't try to take it apart. Flush with nib in place, bulb syringe.

I enjoy the weight and the smoothness of the wood. The last Ebony version I received has gunmetal trim and a very nice springy nib. The nib seems a bit different that other Jinhao nibs from last year. Thinner and more flexible.
