Hello, from Western Colorado! I am a public school kindergarten teacher. We learn outside every day! Currently, we are on summer break and I'm enjoying all of the learning in this space! I loved today's workshop!

This is a wonderful book and it an incredible resource for educators. Wish I could find it read in Mi'kmaq so that we can get used to hearing the beautiful language of Mi;kmaqi

I am so excited about the classes. I have had the honour of learning from the great Elder and Chief Steven McComber from the Haudenosaunee people in Kahnawake Turtle Island. I have a seed farm and educational non-profit on traditional Abenaki Territory and take this responsibility and honor to heart. What I see has changed since I have been together, alongside my dear First Nation to Turtle Island friends is that because their languages and culture are become more secure and seeing a revival, there is an openess to share the knowledge and wisdom with people outside of the communities. Still much work to be done to change the colonial structures that exist but I feel that there is an awareness that these systems exist in settler communities more and more. With that awareness comes a healing and then through healing, there can be change.
