correct! the 26oz yeti does not fit in the pocket on the thin front pocket. I don’t think my 18oz fits either.

Nina Bryant totally, you’re very welcome! The front pocket backpack is a fantastic large backpack. I regret selling mine.

I have a Love41 wanderers backpack right now. I love the size but the zippers are a bother. The side pockets are ok but when they are full I tend to scratch myself on the zipper. Plus I’m thinking I want something a little more structured. Just hard to let go because I’ve taken it on some big trips but the idea of having “the perfect bag” haunts me...lol.

Nina Bryant haha, I feel you! I have a wanderers, the front pocket is much bigger and as you mentioned no zippers to snag on. I hope you post some pics of it on the group when you get it!!

I just had some jaw surgery so I can’t talk on camera, which makes it a little hard to film, but as soon as I’m feeling better I will make one! In the meantime if you search “JW Hulme Henry” on RUclips another lady named Danae did a nice long review on it, not sure if wore it, but she did go a bit more in depth than I did! Sab Berges I wore it crossbody today, it feels more comfortable to do it this way in the winter when I have a big jacket on. Normally my bags with fall off my shoulder if I am wearing my Parka. How long have you had your Emerson? I can’t wait to see how mine patinas with time 😍😍.

M Thompson thank you for sharing your opinions of the bag! I know the company appreciates honest feedback. So sorry you have to go through chronic pain. Check out the Wanderer’s Backpack from Love 41 for a lighter backpack. Although I can say most of my leather bp’s are heavier. I’ll be reviewing another brand next month that uses top grain straps which makes their bags much lighter.

John Harper I took it with me on several vacations, packed it very tight, and the shape did not change. It was very durable. It looked like it was new when I sold it recently. I believe they’re made in the same factory as Saddleback, chrome tanned full grain leather, strap was easy to get in and out of. I would recommend it! I wish I bought the darker shade.

fiveblackcherries sweet, I’m glad I could help! The coffee has a lot of pull up, which means the oils and waxes in the leather will separate when you grab the hide, making those parts look marbled, and a little lighter. You can see in my video that there are a few scratches and marbling from me grabbing the bag. The tobacco has no pull up, and will stay the same shade unless you condition it. Both hides are full grain, super sturdy, so no difference in durability between them, just a matter of personal taste. I have both, so let me know if you have any other q’s, I’m here! Wow. this is cool. I too was looking for some help with the pull up "process" for DCB. Funny how your video was produced last August but "fiveblackcherries" also just discovered you only two weeks ago. Last summer I bought all the gladstone bags in Tobacco. I really enjoyed them and I really liked the TB look in the flight bag and doctor bag. My wife however just got the thin front pocket backpack in DCB and holy crap...did that leather speak to me. Before I knew it I sold all of my TB leather and I now have a brand new DCB Doctor bag, Dopp kit and L/41 Pencile case. The leather looks amazing (nice and dark) out of the box but I've been intrigued with seeing so many videos illustrating the "pull up". I wanted to try to do it but I've been hesitant because I don't want to do anything to ruin this beautiful new bag. Do you have any specific hints or tips on how to approach a doctor's bag to get it to look like your backpack shown in this video? I also think it's interesting that there's lots of talk of the "new DCB"...I did some research on that with the fan page group on facebook and it seems like anything purchased in the fall of 2017 or later is the "New DCB". It really is a spectacular color and texture....In my mind all of my Tobacco pieces were a "9" in my eyes...this new DCB is a perfect "10" in my humble opinion. MTobin1000 hey there! Thanks for finding us, and for watching the video! The best way to break in a new bag with pull up is to either squeeze the leather like I did. Some people put a large towel in theirs and punch the bag where the towel has bulged the bag out. Pull up happens when the oils/waxes in the leather separate, so you can see color changes when I grab the bag. With doctor’s bag it’s a little more difficult with that opening, but if you grab it by the bottom and twist the leather with your hand it should also give it that marbled effect. It’s full grain leather, so it can take quite a beating! There’s a link to join Herder Market Facebook Group on this video if you want to join the community. I understand! I can say the interior is a stronger fabric than just cloth. I was not afraid to stuff the bag. But, if you check out their website they have veg tanned full grain unlined bags in a few different shades.

hey lady! so, it comes with 2 straps, w/the shoulder strap it is 1 lb 6oz, a little heavier with the crossbody strap.

Kyle also mentioned the weight would fluctuate a tiny bit with each piece, depending on the material.
