The fact that this was pre-Hawk Takamura is just insane, the fact that he hasn't even showed his full potential in 1500+ chapters of manga goes to show why he is so broken. Although the difference between the series version and the film is not that striking. Even the series has excellent animation throughout the season, which is much better than modern series in general, not just from the sports genre.
