      It depends on the game and the settings but users have reported being able to run Roblox and Minecraft at 60 fps.

    You're going way too light on RAM and WAY to light on HD storage recommendations. To run Windows 11 responsibly with more than just a few tasks going on, you really should have a minimum of 16GB, and this is not much more expensive. As to storage, you can get 1TB NVME drives now for less than a thumb drive. What you're recommending for storage is less than what you get in a tablet. I like your idea though, just can't live with specs this thin on a Windows OS (or even Linux for that matter).

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 16 дней назад

      I think it depends on what you’re doing. Certainly running heavy video editing or multitasking in windows. A lot of windows laptops only have 8 GB RAM and they work fine and get great ratings. When I was a full time software engineer doing virtualization and running large programs, 16 GB was tough but it worked. Some of the data scientists had 32 GB RAM. But… that’s not what these are for.

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 16 дней назад

      Also I ran virtual Linux machines with as little as 4GB RAM and they did what we set out to do. But it also depends on what you are running. When I ran a security app called security onion. I needed a VM with 64 GB for one of the machines

    Mac bootcamp

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 18 дней назад

      Sure you can do that, that's another option. So is Virtual Box, Fusion, etc. This is another option that requires no technical background. I worked for VMWare for 7 years. I even have some videos on virtualization. But this is something some people don't want to deal with.

  • @Cyan-7086

    You can just install windows in dualboot on a mac

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 19 дней назад

      That might not be easy for a lot of people. Also having a second machine that runs windows natively might be an easier solution.

    • @Cyan-7086
      @Cyan-7086 19 дней назад

      @MiniPCTechnology MacBooks can run windows natively, flash a usb with windows, then hold command I think and then boot from it, and boom install windows on a mac

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 19 дней назад

      @@Cyan-7086 True. But can you run them both at the same time? There are ways of doing that and I talk about that in one of my other videos. But for a lot of people that's not easy. Dual boot can work in some cases. But if I am multi-tasking I want both up at the same time. There is virtualization as well to do that. Again that can get complicated for many people.

    • @Cyan-7086
      @Cyan-7086 19 дней назад

      @MiniPCTechnology you cannot have them both running at the same time, unless you virtualize as you said, what I mean was you shrink the macos patition and install a windows partition in place.

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 19 дней назад

      Exactly. A little more technical for some. But let me give you an example. I want to run most everything on my Mac. But I have a program that I need to run at the same time as part of my workflow. But it only runs on Windows. I can run it on Windows, push the results to a share like Dropbox or Google Docs. Pick it up on my mac and keep going. No reboots. I just keep working.

    Nice review, my question is it is capable for editing photos using software like photoshop, lightroom and others?

    • @MiniPCTechnology
      @MiniPCTechnology 3 месяца назад

      Good question. Since it supports 4K it is capable of photo editing. What you would have to look at is what each program’s requirements are. For instance, Lightroom requires at least 8GB of RAM but recommends 16 GB. So although the 8 GB model might work OK, if you’re serious about this, you might want to get the 16 GB model.
