it is clearly less warm - it is really different . There are some elements which resemble ! The portugese heritage is very obvious - the architecture, Language, living style - the wonderful tiles and the cobbled streets...

Hmmm. Living on the island back in the 80s. I seen lots of bull fights they are awesome. But as Americans with the base we had to stay away to see the fights. Knowing the bulls jumped fences I stayed on the higher walls. Glad your ok.

I spent a day here in '68 before catching a flight down to Funchal Maderia on the once weekly Boeing 727 TAP flight . It seems apparent that for many years the island was the center of commerce of all the islands because the main commercial airport was here but now that has been passed by by San Migel and Tercera .

Were you using a gopro for your walkabouts? The images look so much better than my gopro walkabout as I didn't have stabilization in my footage [gopro hero 4]. Thanks. The blue/white tilework at the end is beautiful. Love it.
