I saw the Antz 6 or 7 times in 78/79 before the pantomime nonsense. Live, they were captivating - a real tension in the air. Whoever this geezer is he has much of Adam's early stage presence. Great show.

I somehow missed that you posted this (you need to add this and 9/28/01 to yer playlist BTW). This was another of my favorite shows. Little Brothers in Columbus. I was there, and even though the recording is great, it sounded even more tremendous in the room, which was a surprise considering how acoustically unsound it was. The girl doing sound was magnificent. We all thought so, but as would often happen, she mistook Dennis's schtick for insult and left angry. The owner also seemed clueless. You can hear him yelling "asshole!" right after the R&R tease after this song, thinking Dennis's "bitch" and mic drop was directed towards her. Some people were just unprepared for the sheer nerve, or else humorless. Don Bovee did "Batman" for the second and penultimate time at this show and it was an unforgettable visual. Two people were filming and walked off without sharing despite promising to. Shame on them.
