I am not watching. No, people of Hawaii and this place in particular had destroyed their livelihood, their paradise, their own homes. Hawaii, this name calls up disaster lurking and wastefulness, this name gives senses of non sense and self assuming and materialism enjoying at its most ridiculous nature. None of these people living or had died had any thought about this was going to happen , did they.?

That tall Norfolk Island Pine on the left at 2:42. Along with the old Banyan tree, it was a memorable tree for me too. I hope it survived despite being ravaged by the wildfire. 😢

As a graduate of the U.of Hawai’i, I am shattered! I have always loved these gorgeous islands and their friendly people. I will always miss “old Lahaina” but want it built better and safer for my ‘ohana. Please donate what you can !

I am a Lahaina visitor ..I lived there 1995-2010....than I moved with my wife...to another city ......I can't believe they let this beautiful town burn down....the fires could of been contained... People died needless because of stupidity...I am still in shock 😲....it looks like Hiroshima 😮.... Unbelievable..this is a real nightmare... Prayers 🙏 for the Families who lost Loved One my 💔 is broken for my Lahaina Family and Friends

So sad. Like faded photographs you can never go back. Scary part is total burn area is about five times larger. Destruction could have been multiple times bigger.

For a island it sure has so much stuff !!! So many cars. So sorry... all is tragically wiped out.

Thank you so much for this video. It’s absolutely crushed my heart to see the devastation that’s beholden on Lahaina. My Wife & I have been to Maui over 20X’s (combined). It’s like a 2nd home. We’ve walked Front St. more than you can imagine. The place is extremely special in our hearts, so much so we got married 4yrs ago on Oneloa Beach. Thank you so much for this video. Mahalo

I'm still in tears. Even though I live in Michiagn, I've gone to Maui every winter to say hello to the whales and even though I stayed in Napili, Lahaina was always so special. My heart breaks for the wonderful people there and mourn all of the people and animals killed in the fire. And the beautiful, magical Banyan tree. I can't believe everything is gone.
