This song was originally going to appear in a competition for the Filipino label ‘Yobimo’ but I liked it too much, and decided to keep it here. The intro takes huge influence from the supervillain: DOOM. Mm food was an incredible album with stuff that I wanted to try in my own work! ALSO This is not the entire album! I have more coming soon! I plan to slowly release the rest.

This one is another personal favorite. Before this, I just had a very cold and dismissive stance on progressive house, and I decided “oh, I’m just gonna make a song to see what it’s like” and ended up making something that sounded really good.

This song is made out of an entire side of a disco record! Making nu disco the way god intended!

This song is attempt 2 of inventing my own new jack swing based genre.

This one is the dud of the album 😊

This one is my personal favorite of the whole album! The neuro bass is made out of three different instances of zebra2, and a random lfo slides between all three of them, and on top of that, there is a vocoder and other sound design jargon. Also, the drums take heavy influence from the late and great J Dilla, adding different time-feel to different elements, for example, the kick. The kick is swung slightly and it just feels so wrong and lilted!

This one isn’t too special, but that’s ok! Not everything needs to be a spectacle! Sometimes it’s good to leave some room to breathe to make what comes next feel stronger!

One might say this is some basic beats. But I say it’s pretty Phunky without any neutralizing sounds. I can’t think of any acid puns :(
