Heartbreaking, I remember figuring this song out on my 1946 D 18. It was such a special time at PCC in SoCal. We were all so young in our late teens and early 20s. A time innocence indeed, so sweet❤❤❤

This is really deep. Very, very deep.

Time makes most memories fade, but some become more vivid.

Life gets so intense as you grow older. It gets even more intense when you come to realise that everyone is going through some sort of tribulation. Never really understood what the Fall from Eden meant but it all makes so much sense. It’s as if we’ve really been dropped from somewhere higher and more peaceful than how it’s here. That longing, that yearning remains there within us… for a perfect, still union with our true selves, with those whom we love or have loved, with God… we spend our whole time on Earth searching for that and we never find it. Some bits of it in the childhood maybe and then the same longing for the rest of our lives. Maybe it shouldn’t have gotten so frightening but for some reason this toil, this yearning has started brewing a fear in me. Anxiety, perhaps, would be a better word for it but it feels as if it’s eating you from inside… as if you are experiencing the anguish of all of the humanity… how frail is human who has reached the stars… Lord have mercy on us…

when i was 5 i moved to La from kansas, i listened to this song everynight for years. i couldnt get over the move. i lost my childhood and woke up in a land where i had to find my new self. a self that could survive LA.

My dearest darling, a man so amazing I couldn't believe he was real at first, and for 40 years, I adored him and he adored me. He died in 2022. I still love him. I still miss him. Always will. I live on memories.

For being my greatest support and I'm sorry I let you down. You deserved So much more in return. I shall leave this world ever Grateful for the love you bestowed upon me. 🫂
