A very nice video! I’m amazed at how much things have changed since I was last here. My father was stationed at Howard AB in 1967-1970. I was 7-10 years old and Panama was the most fun place I’ve ever been to. Ft. Amador before that time had large Naval guns to defend the approach from the Pacific Ocean. When we first came to Panama we lived in La Chorrera, then later moved to Howard Air Base. We loved crossing the canal to Balboa on the big bridge. At that time it was called Thatcher Ferry Bridge, now it’s the Bridge of the Americas. I went to School at Cocoli, where I could see big ships traversing the canal above the trees. It was funny to see a ship going through the jungle because I couldn’t see the water. I think it’s just wonderful how successful the new canal projects have been after Panama took possession of it. The new prosperity is very heartening. Please do more videos like this one, it brings back my fondest childhood memories!

We gustaba ir por ahi y contarle a la gente lo que me. Me causan mucha nostalgia recorer panama con ustedes y ya despues de tanto tiempo voy a regresar en unos meses. Espero que suban mas videos para que me pueden ayudar a planificar donde ir y asi. Yo a esa edad solo hablaba espanol y chino, tus hijas hablan el ingles tan bien.
