They were salmon x trout hybrids stocked by the Salmon Research Trust.

@@russellpoole3151 often wondered what they were as they did not look like rainbows. I ws ten and a day not forgotton - my Dad got two and a cousin 4 on fly.

@@JoeQuinnFollow_the_fln what make and strength of fluorocarbon do you use I struggle with it as the knot strength is no good any advice would be appreciated

I've great faith in Seaguar Grand Max 9.5 lbs diameter .210mm for pulling wets, been using it for years a d has never let me down. Knot snapped from the top dropper down maybe an error on my behalf whilst tying it, thanks for comment and watching 👍

Angler's tend to get out for the last few days off the season if the weather is suitable, I can't remember when I last seen a boat on Talt . I use to fish Conn from the shore for the evening rise in a couple of places but that was a long time ago, fishing has changed so much on Conn since then. My friend is giving the pike fishing a go so I might sit in with him, but I did have a bit of success this year by catching a pike on a trout fly ruclips.net/video/OYPf29GTglU/видео.html Thanks for comment and watching 👍
