The Highest Peak in New Zealand: Aoraki Mountain AKA Mount Cook #MountCook #Aoraki #NewZealand
Before driving to Wanaka from Twizel, we decided to take a little detour and it turned out to be one of the absolutely highlights of the whole South Island trip. We go to explore a little bit of the Mount Cook / Aoraki National Park.
Mount Cook / Aoraki is the highest peak in NZ with its peak at an altitude of 3,754 meters (12,316 feet), and its permanently snow-capped peak and glaciers provide an even more breathtaking view.
We spent only half a day as we needed to keep going to Wanaka (the next video coming soon). It was enough to go for a memorable walk and visit the #AlpineMemorial a monument in the shape of an elongated pyramid made up of rough mountain stones. The monument commemorate...

Whoever designed the lounge access scheme for business ticket holders is stupid. You are not always entitled to access a business lounge if you are a business traveler!! I just couldn’t get it. Why can’t they just be like Emirates?
I was just there! I had an 8 hour layover although it was included because of my ticket it’s worth $125 just to shower and relax They only disappointment was the quiet area was booked, had to wait for a shower for about 30 minutes which isn’t bad. The business lounge has comfy flat beds
Thank you now I’m going to check th e website to tour those places
Aioli is an Aussie thing?
Thanks for sharing 🎉
Are alcoholic beverages included in the price or thats an extra cost?
Yes! I was just there
Fantastic video, thanks for showing beautiful views and good information. What is it called when you were flying like a bird gliding?
Thank you for watching! It’s called Zipline at the Kawaru bridge. Google it 😊☺️
@@AdrianoJolivesi thank you so much
@bineez9300 you’re very welcome ☺️
I'm in Lisbon at the moment. We visited Fatima and Óbidos yesterday. Both amazing places. Will highly recommend Both places(You'd have to be Catholic though to really appreciate Fatima)... Thanks for this very informative video👍🏻👌🏻
Hey Royston! It makes me very happy to know you found the video useful. I appreciate your nice words. Please consider subscribing if you haven’t already 😊🙏🏼 Have fun and enjoy your trip. Eat some pastel de nata for me. Cheers! 🥂🍻
@@AdrianoJolivesi Pastel de nata done yesterday already👍🏻
@mwroysan yesss! 🤩😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It’s beautiful. Reminded me of other such places like : Shoal Bay Fingal Bay Nelson Bay Stradbroke Island (QLD)
“Indian Backpacker” (Anmol) is now visiting this place …. He is on his journey by car all the way from India to here (Australia).
Excellent review Adriano, you have great style !
Thank you VERY much Richard 🙏🏼💯 I’ll be back making videos soon. Taking care of myself first. Please feel free to subscribe.
you are cute
Que vídeo incrível. Parabéns pela qualidade e informação!
Muito obrigado Andréia ☺️🙏🏼 Volte sempre 😃
Can I buy the access at counter?
Yes, you can 😀
Hi Adriano! I'm planning to travel with my family to Queenstown in July and we're worried about the cold during that time. I saw that your trip was in winter. What advice would you give us for this travel?
Woohoo!!! How exciting!!! Just bring the chains for your car (usually if you rent a car they’ll include the chains for an extra fee). But when I was there I didn’t even use it. And it had the biggest snowfall in decades. So hopefully you won’t need it either. Just pack up all your winter gear and enjoy. In terms of food: Do not forget to try FergBurger, Devils Burger, Margo’s Mexican restaurant is a favorite. Amazing food! Lastly the Brazilian steakhouse. For a relaxing time with a view try the hot tubs at Onsen Hot Pools (highly recommend it). For the best views drive up to Coronet peak for a breathtaking view. Also take the Skyline cable car for another incredible view from the top. They have a cafe there so have a hot chocolate and enjoy. Lastly, if you’re driving around go check out Glenorchy. And a bit further away Wanaka is a beautiful town as well. Enjoy your trip 🤩💯🙏🏼
well described ❤nice video
Living in nsw vs existing in victoria. One day ill be in that paradise
You’d be welcome 😊
I have been to all of these places and I loved seeing them again through your lense.
Thank you SO much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😊
I see a lot of people walking on hard surfaces and no one in your videos appear to use a cane, walker, or device to assist problem feet, knees, legs. What is available for those with such difficulties?
Hi, most people that are on their knees are using some sort of protection to cushion the ones because it’s a long path to go through… definitely use a cane, a knee pad or support if you need to. Many people do. Hope that helps :)
Thank you for the comeback. Yes, I understand when people are doing the prayers on their knees ... But what my general concern was I observed no one in the general public in the town of Fatima, or at Fatima Church area using walking aids. That seemed unusual unless the walking around is generally so demanding on the local and tourist people that only physically fit individuals attempt it. ????@@AdrianoJolivesi
@michaelpcooksey5096 definitely anyone can attempt it. I’ve seen people of all ages walking. Especially older people, as they tend to take religion more seriously or just have more faith.
Right, ... the point is .... go over the video .... I see no one using cane, walker, or electric golf cart device, or any other assistance. They are not evidenced ANYWHERE. Its one thing to promote a site ... but if there are walkers of some type in existence ... then perhaps they need to be included in such a video. @@AdrianoJolivesi
Crystal clear water! Wow 😮
Yes! Amazing place to visit 😎☺️
My wife and I are visiting Fatima in June 2024, doing that very same itinerary as yours👍🏻👍🏻
Hope you have an amazing time. The place has an aura of such good energy. You will be very pleased to feel so calm and peaceful. Enjoy 🙏🏼
Yeah Sydney would top anywhere in the world. Over 100 beaches, most in pristine condition and generally uncrowded.
FUN FACT - "Hyams Beach, NSW, DOES NOT have world's whitest sand according to the Guinness World Records." It's a claim that has been published repeatedly for decades. The Sydney Morning Herald refers to it as far back as 1987. And now, every few months, a major news publisher (including this one) or someone on social media picks up that tag and runs with it. No questions asked. The only problem is, it's not true. The tiny coastal town in New South Wales, near Jervis Bay, has become a victim of fake news and its own popularity. Home to only 100 people, the population swells into the thousands over the summer as tourists flock to this seaside village to see the "world's whitest sand" and take the perfect Instagram shot. Sure, it's white - whiter than the sand at Bondi and St Kilda. But it's not the world's whitest - Hyams Beach is not even home to Australia's whitest sand. And to further debunk the myth, the Guinness World Records doesn't even have a "world's whitest sand" category. So, where is the whitest beach? It started as an afternoon banter over beers for Noel Schoknecht, soil scientist and former chairman of the National Committee on Soil and Terrain, to find the country's whitest beach. A term of reference was then drafted and samples taken from beaches across the country. The samples had to be taken from the swash zone (the gently sloping area between the water and the dunes) and they could not be treated in any way apart from air-drying. The winning beach was Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grand National Park on Western Australia's south coast. Followed by Hellfire Bay in WA, Tallebudgera Beach in Queensland, Whitehaven Beach in Queensland, Squeaky Beach in Victoria, Boat Harbour Beach in Tasmania, Hyams Beach in New South Wales, and Bromby Island in Northern Territory.
Yes, thank you for clarifying that. It’s one of the whitest sands in the world, definitely not THE whitest sand in the world. It’s gorgeous and world famous nevertheless 😊 Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching :) Cheers
Wonderful video, quick question where is remote console located as I didnt see one in the seat you had but was visible in another clip within the video. The remote i.e the controller Thanks!
Whoa look at the petrol price!
Lol yes, very expensive 🥹
have been to all the places you visited in this video. I loved exploring the narrow streets of Obidos and Nazare Beach, along with the cozy and charming restaurants. You did not show the fenicular which connects the upper and lower parts of Nazare, a nice ride. I did drive from Fatima to Nazare and took more of an inland non-highway route. Very scenic and I enjoyed driving down the mountain road.
Wow! Sounds like you had a great trip as well. Thank you for sharing! Next time I’ll make sure to go through a more in-land route and see the fenicular you mentioned. Thank you so much for your comment and thanks for watching 🙏🏼😊 Cheers!
There's another part of this lounge by the C gates, it's the garden lounge and has a Luis vetton bar at the entrance
Wow! Great to know. Thanks for sharing. Maybe due to COVID restrictions it was not working when I was there. Not sure but I could not see it. Thanks for sharing and for watching 🙏🏼😊
recline the seat in the front of you then take a pic to give us a better understanding
Great input and great idea. Definitely doing that next time. Appreciate your comment and thank you for watching Kostas 🙏🏼😊
They used real china and metal cutlery for inflight meal. Love it.
It’s not bad haha. Thanks for your comment 🙏🏼😊
Sotaque de brasileiro! Interessante

Wonderful beach
It is indeed 💯 Thank you for watching 🙏🏼😊
Splashed out for premium economy and have two couples with babies crying the entire trip + taken over toilets for changing nappies
Noooooooooooo 🫣🫣🫣 Better luck next time mate 🥹
Not worth US$125
Depending upon the length of your layover it's definitely worth the $125.
Yeah, agree with @jailer96 on this one. While it’s not worth for a short layover (2-4 hours) I’d say if you have a long layover I would consider a great option to take a shower, relax and eat. However, need to keep in mind that sometimes they give you an amount of time to visit the lounge. Some lounges say you can only stay for 3 hours, which is RIDICULOUS.
where exactly in New Zealand this place?
This place is located in the South Island’s most beautiful town: Queenstown 💯 The place is called Onsen Hot Pools LINK: Onsen Hot Pools g.co/kgs/YgEghc
Do they let you select your seat in premium economy?
Yes! And you can even move around if it’s empty like this. ☺️ Thank you for watching 👌🏻
You have captured it so well, what camera gear are you using?
Thank you so much for your comment ☺️ I used my iPhone maybe the 11 Pro Max at the time and my DJI Mavic Air 2 drone 👌🏻
So they lost tons of money on this flight if it was that empty.
I don’t think they lost money as economy was packed as usual. Also this flight is only 3 hours from Christchurch to Sydney. Then Sydney to Dubai and Syd to Dubai premium economy is also packed.
@@AdrianoJolivesi What were the loads in business and F? Economy won't pay the bills on such an expensive aircraft to operate, especially on a 3 hour flight.
I’m Pretty sure that this short flight is not for profit anyway. The base for the Emirates a380 is in Christchurch. They just refuel and wait there to come back to Sydney and fly to Dubai. Business was full.
Yummo looks great.
Thank you Graham 🙏🏼💯☺️
Beautiful
Thank you Ed ♥️☺️🙏🏼
How long can one stay when you purchase the lounge access?
Hello @Aishadasukidanbappa6243! Thank you for your comment :) I was allowed to stay/use the Al Mourjqn Business Lounge for a maximum of 6 hours. Hope that helps. Cheers! Adriano
Heading on the 17 hour AKL to Dubai in the next few weeks and splashed out on the premium upgrade. I'm also 6'4" so I'm glad to see a video covering the fit for me!
How awesome!!! Yeah, you’ll 100% love it! I just flew Saturday from Sydney to Dubai in economy (because premium and business were full) and I was MISERABLE!!! Haha. Enjoy your trip and thanks for commenting. I appreciate you watching the video. Please consider subscribing for more :) Cheers mate! Adriano
How good was the weather ☀️
Warren, first, thanks for your comment and support! The weather was phenomenal. We got so lucky because we woke up and there was a very dense fog… during the drive it cleared it all out and it was amazing. Cheers! Thanks again for your comment. Yours, Adriano
As always, AJ, great video :)
Thank you Ian 💯🙏🏼😊
Hi Adriano, another great review. Brought back some fantastic memories. Ana and I also stayed overnight there. Rooms were lovely with great views
How awesome Mark! Thank you so much for your comment and for watching. I appreciate you ☺️ Cheers from Sicily 🇮🇹 Adriano
Next time Adriano you should do the scenic flights or helicopter trips from Mt Cook - truly lovely. So is the accommodation at Mt Cook which has some spectacular views from your room
Hey Mark! Thanks for the tip. I will 100% consider doing those next time I visit Mount Cook. Next time I’ll take my time and spend the night. It was too rushed because we hadn’t planed to go. We woke up and looked on the map for the highest peak and just drove there 😅🤩
@@AdrianoJolivesiHi Adriano if you really want to treat yourself to some truly magnificent accommodation located about 30-40 minute drive from Queenstown then try Blanket Bay. It's very expensive but my partner and I loved it. We stayed there about 10 years ago and she still talks about it
Another great tip. I will be sure to. Heck it out for the next trip Mark 🙏🏼☺️ I need to see Queenstown and surroundings during spring now.
Thanks Adriano for another fantastic video. Mount Cook looks amazing ! I watched this on my 85 inch 4k tv and it felt like I was there. Awesome job 👍🏼
Thank you Gary 🙏🏼💯 I appreciate your comment. Glad you liked it. ♥️
Another great video you really entice viewers to go and visit these beautiful locations 🥶
@@warrenyoung5979 Thank you Warren! You're very kind. Thanks for commenting ☺💯🙏
Tip for anyone flying premium economy - try and get the front seats as the leg room is almost twice as much as anyone else. Only problem is the headphone cable doesn’t reach your head when the seat is fully reclined, as you’re so far away from the screen.
Emirates is one of the very few airlines that makes travel pleasurable. Any class!
Qatar Airways to me is still one of the best if not THE best. Although I also love Emirates. I’m traveling again with them from Sydney to Madrid soon and will review economy class 🥹 stay tuned.
Great video, thank you
Thank you for watching and for your kind comment 😊
A nation that was born for Christ and to defend his true church and magisterium, History speaks it loudly don’t be fooled wit these new modern so called Christians who are now preaching according to the way they live their lives in the pleasures of this world luxury lifestyles etc. most are going down in the pit and the more down they go the darker their life’s are to the point sin is no sin and good is now bad and what is bad it’s turning good in this evil generation, very soon what our lady of Fatima said about our church triumph it’s approaching be prepared for what is coming but unfortunately most are still living their lives like everything it’s ok, but it’s ok because life will never be the same and the incoming events are approaching in those days of the flood people were dancing, eating, drinking and getting their sons and daughters married etc. until God told Noah to close the door of the arch, brothers and sisters when our lord closes is door of mercy it means no mercy it will be his justice and our loving God he is all about love and mercy but he is a justice God, Fatima it’s not over yet the book still open for the coming events 🙏❤️😊🇵🇹🇺🇸
Yup, like the exorcist Fr. Ripperger says: Sin makes you stupid. One thing is important ... relationship with our Eucharistic Lord, the Father, and our spiritual mother Mary. Want mercy? Work for mercy; prayers and Eucharistic Adoration and the Rosary.
