Wow this is insane

To know this man simply as a comic is almost negligence. I'd suggest he's much more Keaton than Chaplin, as in, he was a cinematographer. This movie is so much more than a comedy - it's a portrait of a passing world. There is a scene in this movie where he cycles awkwardly down a twilit, tree-lined road - drunk as a skunk. Is it funny or do you almost shed a tear at the beauty of the composition? To see this as just comedy is to miss the cinematic art.

I saw this show at the Stephen Joseph in 2014, and have never forgotten it! I've now done the straight play with my high school theater kids, but would love to find the licensing info and music/libretto for the musical adaptation. Does anyone know where I can find it? I've been searching the internet on and off for almost10 years now with nothing more than these videos, a few articles on the show's website, and some reviews!

Watched on Tuesday and yes - it is a brilliant play. One of his best. Clever insightful glimpse into our potential future relationships with AI robots. So much clever stuff in here about the complex dynamics between partners in human relationships. This play will appeal to all generations and really deserves a West End Run.

My favourite moments of the show are those where through movement the actors shift from one character to another. For instance when Rochester hosts his wealthy friends or when Jane turns into Bertha

Any childhood memories of sailing the giant pirate ship to the island on the mere looking for treasure. Brought my wife and 10 year old boy this week having regaled them of tails of days gone by. Much taunting and teasing at my expense when we saw the tiny hispaniola in the harbour. I'd love to see footage of the old mere trip.

I think I just spent an hour trying to find what this show was called. I saw it with my girls brigade group one year and I couldn't remember in what year, anywhere between 2008-2014, and i couldn't remember what sea-side town it was in. I thought it was called the boy and the book but found nothing, but I did remember it was in a "theatre in the round" so eventually, ended up here and i'm so happy I figured out what the show is called!
