I think prof. Zairu Nisha, albeit choosing an interesting topic, forgot that Descartes never created a hierarchy to mind and body per se. Mind, being a thinking thing, does not necessitate it to be superior to body. Professor has been stuck in the Cartesian era rather than seeing current Philosophical standpoints in mind body relation such as physicalism. I am still suspicious on the claim that one can accuse Philosophical theories to put women in a lower position in society

आपने 'श्रीरामचरितमानस ' में वर्णित जीवन-मूल्यों का बहुत अच्छी तरह से विश्लेषण किया है। गोस्वामी जी सचमुच लोकनायक हैं। लेकिन एक प्रश्न मुझे इस सन्दर्भ में निरन्तर व्यथित करता रहा है, वह यह कि हमारे समाज के हर क्षेत्र में जीवन-मूल्यों का तेजी से क्षरण हो रहा है। आप तो पुलिस-प्रशासन देख रहे हैं, मैं भी 36 वर्ष उच्च शिक्षा विभाग में अपनी सेवायें दे चुका हूँ। मेरे अपने विभाग में विस्मित करनेवाला क्षरण हुआ है। जिस इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय में अस्सी के दशक तक अँगरेज़ी में एम0 ए0 में कभी-कभार किसी एक छात्र को प्रथम श्रेणी मिलती थी, आज उसी कक्षा में 80-85% अंक पानेवालों की लाइन लगी है। मगर दो पृष्ठ शुद्ध अँगरेज़ी में लिख सकते हैं। इस प्रश्न का व्यावहारिक उत्तर खोजने की ज़रूरत है। हमारे पास आर्ष ग्रन्थ तो बहुत हैं लेकिन उनके अनुसार आचरण करनेवाले कितने लोग हैं? इस पर वक्तव्य देने की आवश्यकता है।
