It's brilliant, can't wait to make some for my husband~ Zevia is his favorite, especially the cream soda & black cherry flavors.
Perfect timing~ thank you! But first, coffee. =) Oh my yes, the Hilo chips- we miss them as well. We first discovered them at our favorite discount grocery, in Peoria AZ. They had a few pallets of cases, & were selling the for .25 cents a bag, or $3 per case.=, of single serving bags. We bought a couple to try, then promptly went back to buy what we could fit into the car, about 15 boxes I believe. We discovered they were being discontinued, which is how they ended up at the discount store. Those chips lasted a good long time, over a year actually, as we were able to store them in a cool, dry space~ a bit of a challenge here in the desert.Samantha in AZ
Wow that was a steal on the chips! I don’t think they were ever marketed correctly. Stores stocking Quest & Atkins chip’s probably didn’t want to commit shelf space but in my opinion they were so much better.
@@KetoLivingWithDaleandJudith Way better, I agree. I recall being quite startled when I found out how much they were, regular priced. We were not familiar with any of the low carb chips at that point, yet went on to try the other brands after the Hilo's were all gone. Very disappointing. Just now off the road this past year, in a little home base with room to experiment in the kitchen again. So far, super thin & crispy meat chips from the dehydrator have been my favorite~ especially beef.

Getting ready to make my first batch of Dr. Davis' "fermented dairy", which I call yogurt, to keep it simple. I purchased the three starter strains; L.rueteri, L gasseri & Bacillus coagulans several months ago, yet have only this week managed to bump it up on my project list. Did quite a bit of research on the benefits of this food, so I'm really excited to get going on it. Have you made anything like this before? Highly recommend Dr. Davis' books; "Wheat Belly" & "SuperGut". I learned so much from each of them, plus they are wonderful reference tools. I look forward to your english muffin prep video, as I've not yet found a recipe that I'm pleased with. That chicken looks delicious~ especially with the pan reduction~ Yum! I’ve heard good things about Wheat Belly but have never read it. II’ll look into the starter strains you mentioned. I use coconut milk for my “yogurt” since I’m allergic to milk protein. I get the inspiration for my anti-inflammatory diet from The Wahls Protocol designed for autoimmune diseases. Thanks for sharing this info. There is always more to learn.

Allulose, &/or monkfruit are my favorites, by far. Allulose being a "rare sugar", not even digested by the body, is a wonderful sugar to cook & bake with. I especially enjoy it for making caramel in any form, as well as sweetened condensed milk, which a lovely base for so many things. Clicked on this video when I saw "Cranberry Cheesecake", as cranberry might just be the ONLY fruit I've not yet combined w/cheesecake. I haven’t tried using almond flour instead of the protein powder but I think it would work. I do have other tortilla recipes.
