DIY fix Siemens dryer that stops
How to do an inside clean of your dryer
Is your dryer stopping after some time during the program? Maybe nothing is broken, it just needs an inside cleaning.
This specific dryer is 14 years old and it’s the third time I am doing this cleaning.

Been having this issue for the past year or so with our very modern siemans model despite us regularly cleaning the thing inside and out, though your video enlightened us to this one area we've not been taking care of! Easily saved us having to shell out for a new dryer for hopefully a few decades, thanks so much for the video!

Dismantling was easy but putting side panel back was straggling. Thanks for this video

Väldigt värdefull video. Hade stor hjälp av hur du öppnade maskinen när jag skulle byta den lilla drivremmen. Sen kom samma felmeddelande som du och behövde göra samma rengöring. Dubbel nytta alltså. Tack!

Thanks. Watched the video then realised with the iq300 you can flip open that bottom sump without strip down…. Cleared out a lot of sludge (lint) and it’s back working!

Brilliant video. I have a slightly newer model than the one shown IQ100 which is 10 years old and the lid at 4:40 can be removed after removing the front filter panels. It’s just fiddly, but once removed you can clean the water and muck out of that bottom compartment without having to remove any panels (front or side) of the dryer and no screw driver is needed. Thank you for this complete video because you show other areas that may need to be inspected.

Excellent, probably relates to a lot of models Siemens and Bosch, fixed my tumble dryer no problems, probably saved me a lot of money.

Damit! I have this same problem and took my side panel off but I my machine doesn’t have that pump inside? Could it be because my Siemens machine have a self cleaning condenser?

My problem is that the dryer have no water what so ever inside or in collector. But it Still turns off and say that i have to remove water. Whats that all about. Tipps please. The pumpe is working.

Excellent Tutorial! I have exactly the same dryer which had the same problem. I can add an important detail that in the removal of the control panel there is an additional screw on the outside right hand side of the control panel which is countersunk. Failure to remove this will result in breakage. Another comment, my machine was so badly gunged that i found it necessary to remove the pump board to clean it properly by disconnecting the two board connectors. I took out the float by opening the side walls of its casing carefully. This was the prime problem in my case where the float was stuck in its highest position
