A good idea could be to fix the property as it was when Goebbels owned it and use it as a museum, And then the government can use the money they raise to keep the building up to standard. visitors get to learn history and the goverment gets the area off there hands, Win win for every one.

Even if you agree that the devil lived in this beautiful house, there is no reason why it should be destroyed. If the same logic is applied a host of buildings across the world should be destroyed. In terms of the debate as to whether the house should be demolished or not, I believe it should be preserved as we do not call for the destruction of the Roman Colosseum even though people were rounded up and slaughtered in front of spectators, in fact tourists line up and buy a ticket to be amazed by it. History needs to be preserved to educate.
