Thanks 4 the tag a long. FYI to easiest candle wax removal (place in freezer for a couple of hours) you may have known but someone might benefit. Brilliant, especially after scraping and pouring hot water into the vessel. Elizabeth
Thanks, I’ve been meaning to try that method, it worked perfectly!! Thanks for sharing the tip and thanks watching!
Wow they had great low prices!!
They sure did!! It was hard to keep myself budget minded lol. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Thanks for the very informative video. Lots of beautiful items!
Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!!!
Could that round bottom pot be raku pottery?
I believe your right and it could be raku. I’ve learned the round bottom is meant to be used on the ground. I’m not sure it was originally intended as a display piece. I just want to be sure I attribute it to the correct culture which is where I’m uncertain.
Love everything!
Aww glad to hear you liked the stuff I found. Thanks for sharing that and thanks for watching!!
Thanks for your information. I am still learning! 😊❤️
Still learning here too. Thanks for watching and learning along with me. More to come!!
You bought some pretty glass pieces .😍 I think the chicken might be a hobby lobby piece. Very cute though.
Awesome, thank you so much for identifying the chicken!! And thanks for watching.
Great haul. Watching from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Hi, thanks for watching!!! Ontario is on my trip list. One of these days I’d love to get there.
You got a of pretties! Did you go to Madison-Bouckville this weekend? That would be exciting to see!
It was a tough decision but I skipped Madison Bouckville this weekend. I am a little behind on sorting and listing things from the past couple of weeks so I decided to focus on what was already piling up in new inventory. I even drove past a garage sale today and it still hurts. Lol.
Nice haul.
Thanks, it took a lot of moving the car and parking lol but it was worth it!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great haul! Do you do this for the potential money, the rush you get when you find something or because you love glass? I think it’s because you love glass and you get a rush when you find something you like. I enjoy your channel and think you’re doing a great job. You’re definitely learning all about glass. There’s a lot to learn. Keep up the great work! Jan in Texas
It’s the thrill of the hunt, the learning, keeping things out of the landfill and hearing the stories from folks who have bought things from me and have shared why they’ll treasure the piece. It could be a replacement, or completing a set to leave to the next generation or one of their parents used to have the same piece. That’s the best part!!Thanks for watching and your encouragement! More to come.
Can anybody else hear a chicken 🐓 clucking in the background?
Lol yes that is one of chickens looking for snacks from mom.
@@YesterdaysBraid That’s lovely!
What an interesting video. I had never heard of EAPG before this.
It’s pretty neat glass. A lot of fun patterns and sturdy. Another cool thing to learn about.
R in circle usually stands for registered- meaning registered design.
Ahhhhhh that makes sense. Thanks so much for commenting.
Enjoyed...new subscriber ❤
Thanks for watching and subscribing. More to come.
Nice
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed.
On the first Metz bowls it look like the one with the bottom may go into the other. Not sure.
Would that be for stacking? In which case, the items could more likely be ashtrays.
@@rosemarymee Good thinking
I thought they might be ashtrays too. Glad to hear that was also your thoughts.
Too bad you missed the Bellmore Flea Market show and PLEASE let's stop using the term "side hustle". It's gettin TIRED>
I’ll be there again in a couple weeks. Bummed that I missed Bellmore. And I agree calling it a side hustle is a bit silly as I am devoting more time to it than my regular real estate job. Even sillier is my real estate work was a side hustle to working in veterinary medicine…which was the ‘career’ job.
I missed the EPA glass.
Hi Jan, I’m putting together the video for eapg. I didn’t post it just yet. No worries you didn’t miss it. Lol. Thanks for watching!!
Fabulous! Loved the chooks! Great haul. Hello again from Australia.
Hi form Australia!! Thanks for watching and enjoying. More to come soon.
Was the paperwhite signed on the bottom? Nice video
Hi, thanks for watching!! Yep the paperweight is signed Beth Miller 1994.
very nice glassware and items....interesting you mentioned the fostoria hexigon candy dish....I bought one at an estate sale...the only one I have seen......enjoy your channel
Wow you found one!! That’s so cool, it’s a unicorn. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Hopefully I can find one someday too.
Very informative video.
Thanks for watching. I’m learning as I go.
What a fun place to poke around! That clear glass piece reminded me of a penguin. 🐧
It’s so much fun in there. Thanks for watching!! And yes it does resemble a penguin!
That shop is amazing! They have so much glass. And I love glass. Enjoy your channel.
It’s so much fun wandering their shelves. Thanks so much for watching!! More to come.
I just came across your channel and have really been enjoying your videos about thrifting in upstate New York. I had no idea there were so many thrift stores in the area-and I'm originally from upstate! Thanks for sharing your finds…
I only discovered all of them through my regular job as real estate agent. I needed glassware to stage a house and the treasure hunt just snowballed into this lol. There are so many great villages with antique and thrift stores. Upstate NY is just awesome. Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ll tell the mountains you say hello!!
Your eyes are spectacular, wow!
Creative parking helps lol. Thank you!!
🤣
Glad I could give ya a laugh. Thanks for watching!!
Does that fused glass piece sit upside down from the way you showed it? Maybe 😊
Possibly, that’s how I found it on the shelf actually, with the open side down like a display piece. But I feel it could fall over easy if a door got shut hard or someone came bounding into the room and it shook. Thanks a bunch for your input into the mystery. It probably is just for display and I am overthinking it lol.
Nice picks. The Murano candy dish was my favorite.
Thanks and yep that bowl was a total thrill to find. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
The big glass pedestal bowl reminded me of a margarita glass and made me “thirst.”
Great trip!
Thanks so much for watching, commenting and subscribing.
New subscriber here. Love your channel. None of what you got was "run of the mill"! Lovely shopping trip!
Hi Lionheart!! Thanks for watching and subscribing. It was tricky sale for sure but so much fun!
The little Christmas basket with gold on it was Fitz and Floyd. The little covered boxes do really well! Google it. Sometimes it will surprise you.
I am now subscriber #198 😊
Yay!! That’s very exciting! Thanks so much for watching, commenting and subscribing. More on the way.
I just subscribed! YAY! I love your show!! Man! those prices are fantastic, and everything seems so plentiful! I live in Silicon Valley California, and the prices in thrift stores, estate sales, etc. are nuts! Also, everything is new, and you can 't find old items anymore. I have heard through the grape vine out here that people fight over stuff in the estate sales. An antique dealer once told me she went to an estate sale and there was a table crammed with Fenton glass. The antique dealer told me this lady leaped out of nowhere above everyone else and landed on the table of Fenton glass spread out saying, this whole table is mine!! LOL! I used to work at a collective with 132 individual booths in a warehouse type of building. They were in business for many years, but unfortunately, they went out of business because the tech millennials out here don't like ANYTHING old, but MOD and really dull. BTW, that little Munro blue bowl is gorgeous! It reminds me of ribbon. WOW WEE! 50 cents! Way to go! Good for you grabbing the other treasures as well! Great Stuff!
Hi thanks for watching and subscribing. The area I live in is great for treasure hunting at estate sales and thrift stores. There are a lot of generational farms and mid century vacation homes. I love upstate ny and even though things can get pushy at the sales, for the most part people remain graceful and congratulate one another on their finds. And the people who have things for sale just want to see them go to someone who can treasure it into the future. I love finding things and new people to love them. It’s awesome. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
Some very nice pieces! Thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Murano glass is everywhere. The market is flush with the stuff. I've been a glass artisan for over 40 years and was always drawn to it but only ever bought one piece. I've had the same piece for most of those 40 years and do hope that someone will want it.
I agree there is a lot of it out there. Thankfully art glass always seems to have some sort of fan base and collectors. It’s always fun finding a piece of it at a sale too.
The crystal bowl could just be an everyday lead crystal bowl. If it doesn't feel a little "sharp" then it's just pressed glass.
It did feel a bit sharp and really was very heavy. I guessed Shannon crystal only because a see a lot of it around here. But I really couldn’t say for certain what that bowl was. If I had a cart I probably would have grabbed just to learn about it. Thanks so much for watching and sharing knowledge.
Estate sales in Dallas are really busy like the sale you went to. You can’t always get what you want.
Thankfully the sales are fun and let’s be honest that’s what I want the most from these. The fun and the thrill of treasure hunting lol. I’ve seen a few garage sale videos in Dallas and they do look pretty hectic.
Ooffaa. Pretty discouraging right off the bat but I like your positive vibe and that you found a few things for the time you put in. Love the comment about the possible $700. value on the glass egg. 😂 I do that all the time.
Haha yep it’s a learning process lol. Thankfully the paperweight I chose turned out to be signed once I removed the price tag. Its almost like I know what I m doing…maybe sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@YesterdaysBraid I feel ya. That’s how it works. Trust your gut and it’ll all work out how it’s meant to.
Just found ya and enjoyed the video. Hey from Bucks County PA. 👋
Glad you found the channel and I hope you enjoy it!!
Hey Stef! Fellow Bucks person here.
@@lionheart830 hey 👋
Hi, know what you mean about April being beautiful weather, I'm from upstate NY. Love your channel, you look at glassware, etc. The things I like.😀
Aww thanks for the encouragement and upstate NY is beautiful this time of year. I love the four seasons here and how everyday looks just a little than the day before.
The large uranium glass bowl, is a console bowl ,you had it upright the first time,it would have had matching candle holders,a good channel to watch here on you tube is The Old Curiosity Shop Scott is very knowledgeable about antique glass.Enjoyed your videos,I'm thinking about re selling myself.
Nice!! Thank for confirming which way it goes. And thanks for the tip for learning more. I’ve watched his channel and he does know his stuff. Now if I can just remember batteries at the store for my uv light I’ll get that uranium bowl listed. Thanks for watching
I love that blanket🫶 I swear my mamma made that 😂
I love it too! Almost kept it lol. It’s so heavy and nice large size. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Wow, those prices and pieces were insane! I hear ya on struggling with a heavy bag, I often do the same thing but with those items you better believe I would have started a pile at the checkout and drug it all over one by one 😅
I get nervous about handing things off for a pile. Have had some things get dinged that way. Although I did see a guys cart get bashed into during the fury as well. It can pretty dangerous at some of these sales lol.
I scored a Tupperware pickle keeper for $0.25 at a rummage sale today. I am pumped! I'm kerping it for myself.
Nice!! That’s a total score!
Loved the pig painting, would hang it in my house! Love the cupped bud vase also!
Thanks for watching. The pig wouldn’t have fit in my car lol!!

Thanks for commenting. Love to know what people think of the finds. Still wish I had brought a cart lol.
I'm glad you found something of use at Family Thrift Houston! I always walk out empty handed. Like your other purchases!
