Here is our third instalment of the key mandatory experiments to watch out for in the Leaving Cert 2024 exam. The iron tablet titration is a tricky one with several steps to be very careful with. We haven't seen it since 2009! So it could very well be on this year's exam, watch out for it!

Here is a full video, 'Hydrocarbons', from Section 13 on Fuels & Thermochemistry. It walks you through alkanes, alkenes & alkynes, how we name these compounds, carbon geometry in these compounds and guides you through all of the members that you need to know for the Leaving Cert Chemistry course. We also take an in-depth look at the unusual bonding that occurs in Benzene.
The Mole
Просмотров 839 месяцев назад
The mole is probably the first really difficult topic a student meets in the Leaving Cert Chemistry course and it causes quite a bit of difficulty down the road if it is not understood in the right way. A mole is a way of counting infinitesimally small particles so that we can know how much to react in a chemical reaction and how much will be produced. Have a look at our video that goes through...
