Why you're not fluent in your target language YET + how to fix that
The invisible barrier is what is keeping you from having the language of your dreams in your target language. Why is it invisible? Well, we all thought before "hey I'll just learn the right words and how they go together and then problem solved!" and we all realized that it wasn't going to be that easy after all.
Watch this video to find out what is this invisible barrier really about and what elements/strategy you can use to get past it.
There's so much more to the subject, so many intricacies and curious phenomenas along one's language learning journey, I'm barely scratching the surface!

I'm glad you didn't listen to your friends Luca. The worst one, the most destructive one that I hear all the time is, we speak English and everyone speaks English everywhere you go so what's the point of learning another language. As a native English speaker who speaks four languages, I hate hearing this asinine excuse but unfortunately I hear it a lot.

It's absolutely the same with the Slavs, we understand most of the languages up to a good percent but you encounter that one word that you don't understand, you not being native Slavic speaker will be confused but most of the words are same and mutually understandable just the pronunciation is different, example Russian ne bois' не боись is ne boj se in Serbo Croatian, in Polish nie boj sie, to us that's all the same

The Romanian language is similar to Italian. but unlike this, the Romanian language is very close to the classical Latin language. Romania is the old kingdom of Dacia and our language is old, from antiquity when a language with a Latin sound was spoken. This ancient language is the basis of the Romance languages of Europe. They share the same archaic background. Romance languages have many words in common with Romanian, but non-existent in Latin or Italian. The Romance language most similar to Romanian is the Sardinian language. There are 150 common words with the Romanian language, non-existent in Latin. The explanation is ancient common stock and not spurious Romanization. French is far from Latin. Other peoples who came to Gaul are also involved. The thesis that the Romance languages and the Latin language are languages born from a common ancient language is shared by more and more foreign and Romanian linguists, such as the case of the Spanish linguist Carme Huertas, who published in Romania the book "Noi nu venim din Latina". '', bringing solid arguments proving that no Romance language derives from Latin, Latin being a cousin of the Romance languages and NOT THEIR MOTHER!!! And authors from France say the same thing. (French author Yves Cortez who argues that French is not derived from Latin. The Romance and Latin languages developed in parallel with the Vulgar Latin spoken in ancient Europe.)ruclips.net/video/sYZGNNXx3ew/видео.html The language also spoken by the Romans. Classical Latin is processed from this popular language.

As a Romanian who speaks Spanish and French, you did good. You did mention how you understood verbs and nouns but no adverbs or other grammatical words. And yeah, that's the gist of how Romanian works. Nouns and verbs are pretty much the same as other Romance languages but you didn't catch any adverbs because they're entirely different to western Romance languages. Like they share the same origin but sound really different or mean something different. For example or in Romanian you say sau, yes in Romanian is da, why in Romanian is de ce. Why does it sound like you're saying "of what" in Italian? Well it's because you are. De in Romanian means of, same as in French and Spanish and Italian. Ce in Romanian means what, same as in Italian and related to Spanish que and french quoi. However in all the other Romance languages you say why by saying for what (porqué, pourquoi, perche) but in Romanian you don't, you say of what, de ce. And that's the problem with Romanian , even if all the words sounded the same as Italian, the way in which you create phrases is very different from other Romance languages. You also got noun cases and three genders and other crazy stuff like that.

Those trends, reactions was literally hell I literally used to get frausted while learning inorganic so somehow I got average grade in inorganic but I cleared organic with very good grades.

Hey! Thank you for your comment! I made a video about how I start learning a language, but you're right, I still need to make the video about how I continue learning a language and I will talk about how you can start speaking. It is honestly a long process to start speaking a language and to get to the point where you can feel a bit comfortable, it is very daunting and exhausting for the mind (kind of by design haha). If I can give you a pocket size advice, it would be to be in a situation around Italian speakers where you have to communicate. It will not work right away but it will start building up the subconscious learning pressure so to speak. Good luck with Italian!

Useful and interesting video, thanks for making it. Occasionally using subtitles in English can be useful. There are always words that you have heard a few times over when listening in Spanish but don't know the meaning however with English subtitles you can see what they mean without having to look them up and spoil the flow. Sometimes you can find shows where you can still hear the original English underneath the dubbed Spanish and this can provide a different level of comprehension. So for me I like to switch it up when it comes to subtitles.

I love the honesty of the video! My goal has never been to sound native, but rather to enjoy the language. Besides, I have always thought that accents are charming, and I think most people would agree. A few days ago, I spoke French for 25 minutes and I carried the conversation. At the end, the mental exhaustion was almost tangible. I experienced that dip with Spanish this week, too. I read a couple articles and thought- wow, I don't know Spanish! It probably wasn't a real dip, though. As we get better at a language, I think we naturally search out more complicated material. Now I also seem to remember someone recommended that I should take a week off to rest my mind?

I looove your philosophical and psychological approach to language learning. People often ignore the humanity in languages, when language is essentially one of the most human things.
