Bird box camera

Less than 24 hours after the eggs had hatched and both parents were feeding we witnessed the theft of the chicks and the taking over of the nest by another bird and felt powerless to do anything about it we weren’t sure what was happening at first but soon learned later that this may well be the case On this one it looks to be one of the original parent birds that’s came with food and looks in ...
Lovee the accent marra
very interesting...now a well used footpath and cycle path
We mis the line
Went there for a brief stint in 94.
Brilliant video - I moved down South from Maryport when I was 5 in 1967 My mam told me when I was born I lived in old Northside - Im not sure if the houses behind the church in your video at 12 mins 8 seconds are Old Northdside (I would love to see video footage of Northside ) My grandad and dad all worked at Siddick pit and I can only find one photo of the colliery
Hi there I think old northside was across the road long since gone probably ran alongside the Workington to cockermouth line I do have another video on here that the videographer also narrates and mentions old northside are you on Facebook? You could join the old Workington groups that’s on there, there is some fantastic photos and locals on there with some interesting history
@@_sandie_123 Im not on Social Media - I will however look for and watch the other video you mention - what is the title ? Thanks for these gems
@@mickbeeee consider joining facebook mate you are missing out on a lot of gems all my videos have been shared on the Workington site, here’s the link for the northside one

This s a brilliant VIDEO - I lived down south since 1967 (since When I was 5 ) . I was actually born in that Hospital and my mam said we initially lived in OLD Northside before moving to Mayport. I have very early memories of rows of houses with chimneys smoking from Workington and the scenes in this video look familiar Thanks
Nice catch mate 👍👍
Nice catch I caught it down here. Purring it on my channel next week
Many good nights in there especially when Keith Ray would be singing x love you Keith x❤
Thank you for that especially the Cons Club very nostalgic 🥲 x
Where is this?
That junction was a nightmare
Sad to see how many old shops are no longer in business. I could be in the minority of people who think the “new” town centre built after this is better but there’s even more empty shops now and the general upkeep of the town is far worse than back in ‘98
My old college, what a shame it had character. Our town has demolished nearly all of what made it good. No industry either. So you have any steel works demolition videos?❤
Thanks ❤
So much old stuff gets demolished here. Quite sad.
Thanks for the video ❤
@ 0-28.....just look at those petrol and diesel prices per litre! Was this around 1996 to 1999?
I noticed that too -- 0,74p 0.84p lol
@@mickbeeee LOL...the date was at the end....24/8/2000. (Looks like 79p actually!). We'd had three years of savage petrol duty increases thanks to Gordon Robber Brown and New Labour. Litre priced were just 69p in 1997. Rachel Robber Reeves will be doing the same very soon!
Is this one of 'Feathers'Featherstones productons?
I lived in Workington from 1965 to 1983, and it has changed a lot since then in certain parts like the town centre. Station Road and the railway station look the same.
Why do you title this "Workington 1995" when you video shows 12 4 98?
I may have just copied and pasted or a general typo error I know there is much more on the video cassette from that time that I need to get around to transferring
father was site manager down there at one point, and when i was there i used to take my bike to get mot'd in the texaco -mike the vehicle maintenance tutor always helpfull if i popped in for advice while doing joinery
Pencil factory, Soap factory, Chocolate factory all just memories now. Some great sounding names in that neck of the woods . Cleator and Marsh on, just a couple. Workington Flar Bottom Rail. Carried enough of that in my time. 👍😁
Still got our much treasured shots of WORKINGTON STEEL marked flats through Preston in the 90s.
Fascinating video of what we have had and lost and perhaps now need. Thank you very much indeed.
I can recall going as a kid (aged 6) to see Heman there. My dad also worked there as a projectionist years ago…
My late father worked the signal box at Siddick and Northside. I have taken a ride in the guards van from North Side box to RNAD Broughton Moor. Good memories for me ! Thank you for sharing.
That old 805 is far too small for the job, a bigger machine would have had the whole lot down in a morning.
My house in Northside backed onto the cutting further down towards the Derwent. It's a nice footpath and long-distance cycle track now. Good for walking Northside's "High-Speed Dogs" (retired Greyhounds from the nearby kennels). Obviously we would prefer a railway; but if it had to go, then it's left something worthwhile behind it.
Absolutely loved that place. An escape into another world. I saw Jaws and Grease there when I was far too young, and lived for Saturday morning showings. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Awesome 🤣
Great series of videos Rye. I can remember when the demolition was going on with the tall college block, that it got put on hold for a period of time, as the records could not be located as to if the mine shaft had been capped, before the building of the college. In the end up it was discovered that it had been capped.
Very sad. To think we have lost the quality bakers of Reas, for the tasteless crap Greggs churn out. Excellent video by the way.
Very interesting!
Thanks for posting the video.
Sad when history is demolished. Lived at 221 many, many years ago. Awful to think Henry Curwen pub will go this way.
Thanks for posting this. What makes it special for me, is the accent. probably a thousand years of history behind it, all the way back to the Norse settlers of this region. My local accent is of Danish descent but sadly is fading much too fast.
Priceless footage, thanks for sharing 👋
That was absolutely superb. Many thanks for posting.
