I create these shots by getting a short movie and applying a very heavy effect of some kind, then I save the video and re-edit it, this time zooming in on a detailed part of the screen that is doing something particularly interesting. This reduces the resolution pretty heavily but then I apply another heavy effect at full resolution and repeat the process until what’s left has no resemblance to the original video at all. I find it relaxing and a good creative outlet. The idea began when I was trying to create interesting images to play over my videos that I do for my other channel (Gearfacts). It's about music gear which is good for listening but not particularly interesting to watch, so I began creating these weird artworks to reflect the way the music was sounding. Eventually I decided that they were worthy of a channel in their own right.
