NX CAM: Composite IPW
In this video, I illustrate a workflow for referencing an IPW (In Process Workpiece) from another NX CAM file. I also demonstrate a workflow for creating a Composite IPW, and discuss solutions to typical problems that programmers encounter.

Creating Machining Tabs using Algorithmic Modeling in NX 1953
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.3 года назад
Algorithmic Modeling is a new module in NX CAD. It provides powerful tools for automated modeling of repetitive features. In this video, we review Algorithmic Modeling in general, and then describe a technique for using Algorithmic Modeling to create a pattern of geometry required for Tab Machining. Tab Machining suspends the part around its periphery so it can be machined complete from a bille...
Hi Andy, Do you have any online tutorials that I can enroll in (4 & 5 axes)?
Do you have contact info?
Can you show the algorith that you made fot tabs please? I want to make it. Thank you for the video.
Nice video, hope you can make more videos of NX or tutorials.
Knock knock answer old comments please....
Why that drill template we cannot use as customer ... Why all the time drill template has ## in it and...we want to use but you cannot....why?? Bcz... We like drill template ....we don't like hole making....
In TOOLPATH EDIT option you also display tool path as per "layer" also... If there is so much mess of TOOLPATH.... And we want only particular level to edit ... That will be easy.... Any update will release after 1980...?... Can you do this in latest update?
How can i post out least lowest z position in program in comment of first line of program...so that operator can see and take note and pull/push cutter from holder.... plz...its very important
Great video. My issue was the "Verify - IPW - Save" highlighted at the 5 minute 27 seconds mark in your video so thanks for that fix.
Hi I think very usefull video. Thank you so much
Please send the project file to Altvorec@gmail.com
Hi Andy! Where can I find teaching material about an Algorithmic function?
Same question from me as well
I think it a great tool. I would use mechanical routing for hoses it calculates for bend radius. there are other tools or methods that might be more helpful. PTS makes changing templates or parts in an assembly easier But requires purchase of a license I like the presentation Andy
