Yeah it’s not the most realistic is it, I think a necessary dumbing down was needed to make the flight model console friendly which is a shame. That being said its still a lot of fun to take on a pilot role, and if I want realism and flight model fidelity I fire up DCS instead.

Make sure you have any other controllers or Xbox controllers disconnected, this is the cause of Reforger not detecting the emulator input most of the time.

@ OK I got it working, but as soon as it detects the controller, it no longer detect the keyboard and I can’t switch back-and-forth, is there a way to use a keyboard and mouse for ground and a controller for flight, technically a joystick.

@ You need to add just enough deadzone within the X360 app so the game doesn’t detect input when it’s centered. Keep adding a tiny bit of deadzone to each axis within the app until you can use the mouse and keyboard normally, then you can switch back and fourth anytime and it won’t conflict.

Absolutley mate, you can jump on the server anytime and just go at your own pace, try capturing points or running some logistics and building base fortifications and stuff. It’s also a great mode to practice flying Helis and operating armoured vehicles and mortars. Yes mate absolutley that, the game Reforger has a few different modes both PVE/PVP and also PVPVE. This particular mode is pure PVE and gives you an entire map to secure from the enemy and you can run Logistics and build up defences at each point you capture as you go along, It's alot of fun as a solo shooting experience but add in a few friends and it's an outstanding Co-Op experience. Best part is my server itself is persistent so it's up 24/7 meaning you and your buddies can spend days working your way through the entire Island like a campaign. I'm going to make an updated showcase video for this mode on my server in the next few days so keep your eyes peeled.

You might need to try hosting the scenario as a local server instead, try hosting it as a local lan session and see if you can spawn in that way. You can also join and try out my server anytime which is up 24/7 and on a high end machine which means you won't have big fps drops or lag.

Mortars haven't been added to stable branch yet, they are in EXP branch right now but there aren't many populated servers unfortunatley.

Make sure you don’t have any other controllers plugged in as this can over-ride the controller you have selected in X360

Yeah this a night and day different experience from PVP, what platform are you playing on? If you are on PS5 you have a bit longer to wait for mods to come as this is a modded server, but if you are on Xbox or PC jump on my server anytime and try it out, I'm sure you will enjoy a much more relaxed change of pace but still with plenty of action!

I’m not sure If you can host scenarios on consoles to be honest, you might be able to click on play then play the conflict scenario as single player though. I know you can recruit AI in conflict but you would need to check the console controls in the menu to figure out how to do it.

@@Un1tMedia PC, I'm just wondering about any important key binds and all of the mouse sensitivity options like the response curve etc. Something that is bugging me is when I use the 'eye focus' my sensitivity doesn't match and it is way faster

Arma sees it as an Xbox controller, All you need to do is run the app and configure the basic controls like in the video and and activate the device in the settings. The documentation that comes with the X360 app has a more detailed description of configuring the app itself with pc, but the actual process of setting up the app with a stick and the game is simple and works, as many others have stated in the comments.

Thanks for the response, I demonstrate using degrees in this video because that's the only units of horizontal measurement that are present on the Mortars in this mod, and I don't see the point of making more work for myself having to do a calculation to convert when I can just measure like for like, this seems to work just fine for me. Like I said this is just a demonstration of what I do with this particular variant, once I start doing stuff with the official Mortars my whole process will probably change once again.

Cheers man! I do feel a bit out of practice as a player considering I've spent about a month in GM mode but I really enjoyed getting back on the ground with the troops!

@@Un1tMedia well i made 1 controller for each device instead of throwing all into 1 controller..thats what confused me first.

Do you have any other peripherals connected? If you have another controller like an Xbox controller connected it can override your joystick.

You need to host it as a local server, don’t click play instead click on host and then setup a local server and would will have access to game master that way 👍

It's the poor dude in the passenger seat I feel for, I was 99% convinced this is how this would end, as the poor guy was getting clipped by bullets the whole way before getting launched 🤣
