Girl, you are a total lifesaver and a genius. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for inserting the clips of demonstrating how you apply ( both dipping and/spraying) - and explaining that it is not necessary to pickle after- more of a preference…that was my biggest question was if it’s called”self pickling” does that mean I should not pickle after? Your explanation of what the built in “selfpickling “ is doing to protect from fire scale and stain ( another good explanation for this newly smither) as it is being heated so not necessary when solder has run to further pickle…your video of how you work with both charcoal and the ho ey comb was also very helpful- there is a lot of information out there that is often based on personal preference and experience so you often hear varying approaches and techniques and it leaves the learner confused and wondering when and if I should be switching to one product or the other…please keep the videos coming ( and don’t worry about being repetitive! Sometimes as we are learning we need to hear the information and steps over again to drill it into our heads!
Thanks for the review.
This is exactly what I had decided to make my hanger with, 1/2" iron pipe! I hadn't thought about the joining tee on the end, but that's a great idea. If I can't find the wire hinge clamp, I'll order one online. I have my bench coming this week and thanks, also, for your Foredome SP recommendation, that's what I'll also get. I'm so jazzed, thanks so much for all the great advice!!
A great demo on the video thank you for making it. I will give this a try I have made one before but its always fun to try out a different way of doing things. I think as a metalsmith one needs to keep an open mind to learning new ways to do creations . Awesome work
This ring turned out gorgeous, 🤗, Michelle
Thank you so much! 💜

Wow.... stunning Kyanite Jewelry , Didn''t know kyanite would be this stunning.... so Antique
Thank you!
Love the comparisons. keep making these. very informative.
They already went to the steel wing nut ! Got the purple one ! I Also have the Knew concepts over cam ! I mainly use the concepts but for bigger pieces the Haymaker ! It has the best balance and feel in hand nice stuff !
Can you show us what you do with your scrap metal? TIA
Best video tutorial out there!
You’re great! And great video! I’m gonna see if I can make an adaptation since I don’t currently have a bench to screw it onto. Really appreciate your simple straightforward approach! Thank you!! (Found you after I unpacked a total piece of sh!t hanger.)
Great channel content.. Planning to create such too..
Wow!!! Beautiful slabs… I wished I knew how to cut slabs… ❤❤❤
Thank you!! It is so much fun! If you're in the States, there are a lot of lapidary clubs you can join to learn! 💕
@@meshedesigns I’m in Texas and I will check it out… Thanks for the information 🤗
Great to see you again Meshe, beautiful gemstones! I know Chris quite well, he was an Admin in our group Inspiring Metal Smiths Jewelry and now he is one of our "Group Experts".
So happy to upload! Thanks for watching and Chris has been an awesome friend. 🔨🩵
You can find these rings on my website meshedesignsllc.com/
Mine just came in the mail. Thank you so much for the information. I have a really really old Highland Park and Lortone unit with wheels and I have no idea how to put it together yet lol. I couldn’t afford a cab king
I hope you've been enjoying your saw 💎
Thanks I think I’m getting one of these tomorrow. Does all the water drain out? The drain tube looks like it’s not at the bottom of the machine. Is there a lot of rock residue inside where the blade is and how do you clean that? Any other videos about this machine?
You have to tilt the machine to drain all the water. It's easy and I like it. I've owned it now for almost 2 years. Rock residue, I clean every time I drain. It will collect like most tile or lapidary saws. Lapidary Dave has a video about this saw as well.
@@meshedesigns Dave is the owner of Highland Park? I need to refurbish it and put it together and I’m not exactly handy. I hope I can figure it out. It was gifted to me by the son of a incredible lapidary maker.
Just what I’m looking for, thank you for sharing:)
So THATS how you make those tiny bezels without flipping the stone across the room. Thanks!
The Grobet weighs 3.5 ounces and costs $15. Rio Grande.
Great idea I made one today as a floor stand for my fordom.
Just discovered your channel and love it! Definitely binging my next free day! Btw-love camo overall thing. Where is it from? 😊
Thank you so much!! I bought it from Joah Love but it wasnt worth the money to be honest! They have similar ones from amazon and free people id like to try :)
Do most people just use water in these saws? I know you say they do, but I'm reading otherwise online. I am thinking if ordering this saw but the coolant is an extra expense for sure.
I use just water and you can use just water. I would recommend contacting the company to verify when I asked they said that was fine. You can also add a few drops of lubrication for the water I don't but I oil my saw blade when not in use.
I’m so excited Michelle my daughter and I went to Home Depot for Mother’s Day and I bought everything except for one item to build this stand for my Fordham. For some reason Home Depot did not carry the wire hinge clamp anyway what I did was get some chain and a wide enough stainless steel cabinier so I can connect the handle of the motor to the stand. Now I’m in the process of drilling down my stand to the desk. I will send you a pic on your Instagram messages so you can see what I did. FYI now that it’s been what 10 years since she did this it cost $40 instead of $30. Of course we have to deal with inflation… thank you so much for this video because you’ve made my life so much more easier as well….. big hugs Michelle
I enjoyed your tutorial videos and learned so much !! I cant believe its been so long that I watched those older tutorials! I also wondered why they didnt include a small brush with the blade butter. Will Pepe give you a lick to give you credit if we purchase? I am looking a ring bender setup. I did buy the disc cutter with the centering pointed pieces to make perfectly centered washer type rings with the silver and copper. Love it ! Thanks for the new video !
It's been so long since I watched my older videos I'm releasing them back on my channel, I sound so young it really is nostalgic to watch. Thanks for sticking around for so long! If you purchase through there amazon store with my link I get a small kickback from amazon it costs you nothing to use my link as I am an affiliate. amzn.to/37ZGXTq That ships from Pepetools 💙
I was always wondering about Pepe blade butter… Now I know… I use Otto Frei stay sharp lubricant and it works great with my sawblades which I also use Glardon Vallorbe saw blades and the lubricant works great with the saw blades. But I’m not very happy using their stay sharp lubricant with my burr bits… so I will definitely be trying Pepe Tools blade butter for my bur bits. I loved the example you showed using the sharpie on the silver metal and how easily the blade butter will remove your sharpie marker. Also regarding Rio‘s pickle I personally do not like it. I’m currently using it at the moment until I run out but I’m going back to Sparex No.2 pickle….Pepe Tools sells this At an amazing low price. Now I’ve never used Pepe Tools pickle before but you mentioned that they both work the same as Rio’s pickle…I will most definitely be going back to Sparex No.2 and I will buy it from Pepe Tools. If you ever get a chance Michelle you should try Sparex No.2 because that pickle in my opinion is the best pickle that I’ve used. Thank you so much for your honest and very helpful reviews. Autumn Michelle
Hi Autumn! I will definitely try the Sparex next, thank you for the recommendation! I thnk the blade butter is definitely worth trying, let me know how you like it if you decide to purchase! So happy you found this review useful. Happy Tuesday 💙💎
Love your reviews, very helpful:) thanks
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed ❣️
Very nice, thanks for posting. I'll use some of these ideas using smaller 1/2" black pipe size for a much smaller and lighter Wen rotary tool. Might use an idea I saw elsewhere, use a pipe clamp (Jorgenson, Irwin or Harbor Freight ) if you want the stand removable mounted on the edge of the workbench. My bench is an HCD and the rotary tool will be used only occasionally. Like your beefy version!
Thanks I made this version years ago and still going strong after all this time. Happy Creating 🥰
I love mine it's an older model E4 they are a beast at cutting no complaints here
Super happy with mine so far its been 1 year since purchasing. That's exactly why I bought from this brand!
It is sexy, but I was trying to find out how to tighten the blade. Thank you so very much for included the demonstration!
Labradorite is one of my favorite gemstones and that pendant is to die for….. oh and I’m getting ready to make your stand with CVC piping for my SR Foredom
Thank you! This is the final piece I was looking for. Ordering today!
this is awesome!!! i wish i would have seent this before buying my flimsy one. Ugh! I'm changing to this soon
Thank you for featuring our machine. 💝💝💝
Cool, I have the same type of pipe stand, except I bought smaller length pipe sections so I could add more tee fittings and have more arms on it to hang my saws, optivisor and other things.
Oh my gosh! This couldn’t have come at a better time! Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I just changed out my bench/desk and have had a heck of a time finding something that would work. This is perfect! Thanks so much! 🥰
I love this saw… I just need lots of lessons on cutting rough slabs shaping, polishing, etc… This definitely on my list to learn how to do… Thanks for your sharing this video ….. Michelle w/AUMi
Cutting is the easy part I promise! Cabbing takes more of a learning curve but so much fun!!! Thanks for watching!
Love listening to you describing you master pieces
I’m a pendants and cuff person…..
