Home of the Diesel Bronco! We’re here to share our build videos, wheeling trips, and other miscellaneous videos related to off-roading and fabricating.
Off Road Trail Rig Turned Daily Driver - 7.3 Powerstroke Swapped Bronco Steps Up as my Commuter Car
In this video, we’re turning back the clocks to 2020 when the Bronco used to be my daily driver. It always did a great job and I honestly had minimal issues back then, less than the new Super Duty’s now sadly. However, the Bronco has done some changing with the time that has passed, and now is more set up for off-roading. That doesn’t matter though, because with the Super Duty stuck at the dealer, the Bronco had to step up to fill the roll.
Luckily, my goal with the Bronco was always to go on Ultimate Adventure with the truck, so even with the hardcore wheeling mods, drivability was always kept in mind. What this inconvenience served as was a great opportunity to get some miles on the Bro...

Bronco Shenanigans: End of the Day Fun on AOAA's Tire Obstacle
Просмотров 882 месяца назад
After a day of wheeling, it was a perfect opportunity to hit the tire obstacle again with my dad at AOAA. It’s not crazy, but is a fun little section to end the day with. He ran it with his 1970 Early Bronco on 33s, and I hit it with my Powerstroke swapped Full Size Bronco on 44s. If you want to see the video of the full trip, be sure to subscribe to and it’ll be out soon. Until then, here’s th...
Don't Get Burned: Avoid the Ford Super Duty 10R140 Transmission

Hey guys, little bit different of a video today. As you guys have seen, I’ve had a 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty that I bought in October, 2021. Truck was brand new when I got it, and is used as my daily and tow rig. Fast forward less than 3 years, and the truck slowly started getting harsher and harsher engagements into drive and reverse, which eventually were followed by sporadic poor shifts. En...
Marketplace Mayhem - K5 Budget Blazer Build - Lockers, High Steer, 43s, Custom Bumpers, and More!

In this video I cover all the work my dad has gotten done on his $1500 K5 Chevy Blazer off of Facebook Marketplace. This old square body is riding on 1 ton axles, and is powered by a 6.2 Detroit Diesel that was swapped in. The fun doesn’t stop there though, because we added high steer, a Yukon Zip Locker, and a set of Super Swampers, all of which were in thanks to Facebook Marketplace. He also ...
New Daily Driver!! 2021 Ford Super Duty gets Replaced by my Diesel Swapped Bronco on 44s?

Hey guys, in this video I run you through how my Bronco functioned on the road and on the trails at Bronco Round Up, as well as observations I’ve made since I started daily driving the Bronco today. I also talk about my 2021 Ford Super Duty, which has been a bit of a disappointment recently and broke down on me. Overall, it should be a fun challenge, and should really help me get the 7.3 Powers...
Hardcore Off-Roading with @part-time4wd at Rausch Creek Off Road Park - 2024 Bronco Round Up Day 3
Просмотров 7403 месяца назад
In this video I hit Rausch Creek Off Road Park with Kevin from @part-time4wd and my dad. We made our way through the park, and got some solid wheeling in that included Frog Hole, Crawlers Ridge, the Quarry, along with a handful of other spots like the backside of Shoot the Moon. Despite the extreme heat, it was an extremely solid day of wheeling and everyone’s truck preformed well. Kevin’s full...
East Coast Bronco Round Up Takes on Rausch Creek Off Road Park - 2024 MEB Bronco Round Up Day 2

In this video we get a crew together of Early Broncos as well as my full-size, and hit the trails at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park. We start out on the North-East side of park, and after hitting some trails there make our way back to the other side to hit some harder stuff. After a bit more time on the trails, I can officially say the leaf springs in the front end are cycling properly, and that th...
Broncos on the New Tire Play Area at AOAA and Wheeling Some Trails - 2024 MEB Bronco Round Up Day 1

On day 1 of the MEB Bronco Round Up, I hit the trails at AOAA with a good group of Broncos. We had 2 full-sizes, a ton of early Broncos, and even a new Raptor Bronco. It was a great day of trail riding, and worked as a good shakedown run. We hit Twister, Whiskey Ridge, Upper Anthracite, along with a bunch of other miscellaneous trails. To finish out the day, everyone took a shot at AOAA’s new o...

In this video, I battle through the last few days prior to the 2024 MEB Bronco Round Up to try and get my Powerstroke Diesel Bronco into the best shape that I could. This included finishing up the shaved and trussed Dana 60 install, swapping the rear to disc brakes, cleaning up the body work, trimming the front end to make room due to being lowered, as well as a bunch of miscellaneous other wor...
Sky’s Fabrication High Steer and Hydro Assist Install - Ultimate Dana 60 Junkyard Build Part 6
Просмотров 4044 месяца назад
In this video, it’s time for this axle to get some custom steering and then be reassembled. I decided to go with Sky’s Fabrication High Steer kit. To do this, I needed to send my knuckles out to be machined, and when they came back they returned with all the hard parts and hardware I’d need. I’m really digging the setup, and it should definitely help me in keeping the steering straight and away...

Folks, this is why they invented something called a crawl gear. Breaking like this is totally unnecessary.
Hey super good idea I'll do that on my swap!
Hi, Joe. We'd love to invite you to test out our new product
how to send email for bussiness ?
Best would be to reach out to be on Instagram. @joe_bock
Where’d you get that tool?
I got it from Ruff Stuff. Hey there! We're quite interested in your posting content. We have some car related items. Do you accept sponsored products?
I still have about half of your original frame sitting in my yard taking up space
That’s pretty funny. What’d you do with the other half?
That Tahoe is sick
The green and red one my dads working on? It’s an old K5 Blazer, I think they ended up morphing into the Tahoes
Bro please keep your arms inside when wheeling
Yeah, that’s definitely a bad habit I need to work on.
I just purchased a used 2021 F-350 with the 6.7 and the 10 speed with 65,000 miles. When I test drove it, it was not slamming into gear but it was downshifting weird when I slowed to a stop at a light. The dealer told me they needed to service it before they sold it to me and they would look at it, so I went through with the purchase. When I picked it up after I purchased it they said they did a relearn on the transmission and everything was good, it started to slam into 1st gear when I put it into drive when I left the dealership. I thought it was part of the relearn process. After day 3 of it doing that I made an appointment at the dealer I purchased it from for them to look at the transmission again. They have had it for 3 weeks at this point and still haven't given me a straight answer on what exactly is wrong with the truck. It is a Gold certified truck so everything is covered but still sucks that I've made the first payment on it and have only been able to drive it for less than a week. The only loaner vehicle they had at the time was an f-150 with a 5-1/2ft bed (I bought an f-350 for a reason). So yes BUYER BEWARE. I love the truck and the amazing power it makes and the way it looks but the dealership/ownership experience so far has been absolutely horrible.
Damn man, I’m sorry to hear about all of that. It’s been a few days now, have any updates?
Awesome thank you for sharing
@@kevindunn922 Thanks for watching!
Are those 42" swampers? What's the gear ratio on the axles?
44” Swampers. And I run 5.38s in the axles.
Bro I built a new engine (gas) 351w on spring for my Bronco , after deal with my truck for couple days make her running again… after that I have problems with fan clutch she was running more hot than usual with AC. I bought a new one but not fix the problem…. I get mad 😡 and lost interest she been sitting 🪑 for more than 5 months I believe… then I found your channel, I found the motivation needed for keep working on her , I just make the electric fan conversión she is back on the road thanks to your videos , please keep sharing content… I really like your Rig she is a beast 👍🏼✌🏼
@@hectorpinero1179 I truly appreciate it man! I’m happy I was able to motivate you to get back after it!
Bronco is looking awesome! Can you tell me what shackle hitch you are using? I need a big shackle that’ll fit my 2” hitch receiver for my mud truck
Thanks Mike! And are you talking about the adapter from my trailer hitch to hold the big rear shackle? I just took a piece of thick wall 2 inch square tubing, drilled a hole for the trailer hitch pin, bird mouthed the one end, and welded a big piece of pipe to it that fit the pin of my shackle. So far it’s worked very well, but I have not beaten on it too hard pulling anyone out yet.
@@BocksGarage Thats exactly what I’m referring too. Wish I had the skills to weld something up like that. Any possibility you could make another one; I would compensate you for your time and cost of materials?
@@Mike-xn1bh I might be able to help. Want to reach out to me on instagram?
I’m not trying to be mean or condescending but is the digital dash display factory? Looks like something mid 2000s or a decent arduino dashboard but kinda dated for a 2021
Yeah, all stock 2021 Lariat dash board. It’s pretty simple, but doesn’t flicker in person. That has something to do with the camera and the LED displays.
Not even surprised. Everybody makes garbage on 4 wheels these days. Cars and trucks peaked in the 90s and 2000s.
Everything really is junk nowadays. Just have to pick the junk you want to deal with sadly.
I have a 2021 6.7l with what I think is the same transmission. it's in for service today, but it's been holding together pretty well. I have noticed some odd shifting at times when it's cold. When I bought the truck I bought the 100K mile warranty that cover it bumper-2-bumper,.. so I figure it'll be covered until then.
It may be worth getting the fluid checked before the truck hits 100k miles, just to make sure there’s no hidden surprises in there.
Not the same tranny. He has a gaser which is 10R80, you have 6.7L diesel which is 10R140. Looks like there was a class action lawsuit over this issue.
my uncle has a 2022 F250 STX with the 6.7l Powerstroke paired up with the 10R140 10 speed automatic transmission that blew at 7k miles
Jeez. Hopefully it’s been trouble free since then.
@@BocksGarage it has so far
Dude, props 👏🏻 those two little mods make a huge improvement! I did raptor steps on my Lightning bc the stock steps weren’t my style. eBay takeoffs for cheap!
Thanks buddy! It’s crazy how a few little things really change up the look of the truck.
Man I'm jealous
@@kevindunn922 It’s always an awesome time! We’ll have to go out some time.
Said it once and twice. Ford makes powerful engines but their transmissions suck ass…
I feel like the 6 speeds in the early alumidutys were pretty solid, but I could be wrong.
@@BocksGarage I had a 2000 f250 and the transmission was solid but my reverse gear went out.
@@BocksGarage i like the 6 speed in my 2012 f250 6.7
The C4 and the C6 were great,.. still are if you can suffer a 3 speed auto.
@@robertmills794 are you talking about corvettes? Because the rest of us are talking about 2020-2022 ford super duty trucks
For the price of trucks / cars nowadays it should be 8 year - 100k mile warranty bumper to bumper. BS it’s only 60K miles.
I completely agree, especially with the price jumps since Covid hit, which ironically came at the same time as quality fell. Only way you’re getting a 100k miles on a standard warranty is with a diesel, and that’s an easy $12k up charge.
@@BocksGarage I’m not worried about the power train. I’m worried about all the electronics and cheap microchips in everything that will fail after 2-3 years. That’s why we need longer warranty. It’s the only way to hold the automakers accountable for what they’re producing. Most people need 72-84 months to pay the car off. Warranty should be for as long as the loan period so people aren’t fucked with repair bills while still paying off the car.
I was just on autotrader the other day and seen a 2022 f350 i believe the 6.7 but not sure. Asking price was 68k and it had less than 20k miles and lariat trim level. I thought it was a good deal till i read the carfax and it said it had an R title for being a lemon and returned to ford for having "harsh transmission shifts" and ford apparently fixed it and now for sale but still leery
If the truck didn’t have the entire trans replaced as well as some sort of extended warranty, I’d stay far, far away.
That oil is nothing more than marvels mystery oil. Literally.
That wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
Yyyeeaaahhhh, so generous that they help you so they don't get nailed with a gigantic class action lawsuit...... CP4, anyone?
I’d still be willing to bet it eventually gets recalled. I was told to keep the receipts for the money I laid out with the repair, so that it can be reimbursed if a recall happens. As for the CP4, it’s a big thing that scared me away from going with a diesel. At some point though, I may just need to bite the bullet, install a disaster prevention kit once my warranty ends, and roll the dice.
just to clarify this was only a issue on the gassers, and was also fixed i believe mid 2022. if you complain enough ford usually covers all of it.
This isn’t happening on 6.7s? I thought there was only minor changes on the transmissions between the two engine styles. As for the replacement trans I had installed, my Ford rep doesn’t believe it’s an updated trans, so it’s likely prone to the same issues.
@@BocksGarageFords 10 speeds have issues with knowing what gear to shift into, my coworkers all have 10 speed 6.7s that shift at the weirdest times. I know it’s kind of an issue with the 6.7, I can imagine having a gas engine would make that even worse. When did you get your transmission fluid done? I know they recommend 45k, but honestly we have been doing them every 30k just to be safe.
Yeah, it’s definitely a widespread issue. Since having the trans replaced it’s been night and day. Even way before it failed, it apparently was never right, or just not right for a long time. As for trans fluid replacement, the manual claims a service life of 150k miles, so I had never replaced mine.
@@BocksGarage the 10R100 which comes with the gassers in the super duty lineup i think got fixed mid 2022 but the 10R140 which is paired up with the 6.7l Powerstroke didn't get fixed until the 2023- model year (2020-2022 had major transmission issues)
@@trucksucc8490 the 10R140 which comes with the 6.7 on my uncles truck didnt have the confusion problem, it had the actually blown up issue
Is that a steel door? What gauge? How cool!
It’s a steel door, not sure of the gauge but nothing too beefy. Thanks buddy!!
Do you know if the Tremor valance will fit 2017-2019 F-250's bumpers?
I don’t think it does sadly, but I’m not completely sure.
its wild how much better the stock running boards look by just raising them two inches. I might do this on my super duty. That or I might try to find some tremor running boards that are low profile and tuck way up to the cab.
It does make a world of difference to the look of the truck. It almost gives it a lifted/tremor style look. I highly recommend doing it.
Smoking deal.
I completely agree!
Wow for $1500 what a steal
I completely agree!
Such a cool truck! Been driving my ‘97 F-350 a lot lately.
Thanks James! It’s a lot of fun driving these old trucks around.
Solid build! Those bumpers look like an approach angle killer though
@@6.2turbosilverado Thanks man! As for the bumpers, I was thinking the same thing at first, but they’re actually a bit higher than they look. We’ll see when it hits the trails.
Dude! You guys have done a ton of work to this thing! Cant wait to see it on the trail!
Thanks man! I’m hoping we’ll have it out over this summer and definitely for our fall trip.
Just subscribed. 😎. Look forward to watching more videos.
Thanks Kage, I appreciate it!!
It's absolutely beautiful
Thanks buddy!
Hows the 10mpg going
@@axellness I honestly am willing to bet it gets similar gas mileage to my 21 F-250 (13-15 mpg average). Actual testing of that will be in the next video.
I admire your work if I had the know how our fund this would be my dream daily
Thanks man! Definitely doesn’t have the ride and creature comforts of a new vehicle, but it’s an absolute blast to drive around.
Should looks for some street tires for it.
A set of 44" Trxus STS would be sweet
I really should see if I can find something. A set of the STS’s would be sweet. I’ll have to go see what’s in the Blem list and on my local market place.
Where did you get those pliers? I need some of those.
I got them from RuffStuff. Here’s the link: www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/r2588.html
i keep staring at that skinny front dive shaft on the diesel lol.
It does look out of place under there, but rest assured it’s thick wall DOM and has held up pretty well to the abuse so far.
I had fun even though my bronco was stuck in the parking lot. I’ve looked into it and swapped the motor but still doesn’t work. Been busy with life stuff, lol, but need to look deeper into it
It stinks you ran into the issue, but atleast it didn’t give you any issues going home. If you want to swap to a manual tcase, you’re more than welcome to that one that I have.
Great vid! Had a great time wheeling with you guys again! I think you've about got yours dialed in, it did really well! So did your dad's too! Can't wait for the next trip!
I had a great time wheeling with you too! I’m still pretty excited with how well it worked, and I’m excited for small tweaks now. One of the first things on the list is to quiet down the exhaust a bit. As for getting out again, we’ll have to set up another trip soon
@@BocksGarageDefinitely, just preferably when it's not 100° out!
come out to fordyce. you are perfect for it.
It’s definitely on my list of places to get to.
Looks like it's time for a ring job or valve seals.
I think it might be an issue with my crank case vent/catch can setup. I may try going back to a stock CCV configuration. I’m thinking this, because I’m pretty sure I put in new valve seals in when I resealed the motor, and the engine has minor blow by. Regardless, the smoking is definitely on the list of things to get figured out.
On your super lifted black bronco, did u swap in a f350 frame or build a custom one?
I want my 94 to look exactly like that haha dream build
Thanks buddy!! For the frame, it’s actually a reinforced Bronco frame with an F-350 drivetrain swapped in. If you look back in my earlier videos, I have a whole build series on when I was putting it together.
@@BocksGarage thanks man, how long did it take u? And did u do it on ur own or did u need a lot of help?
It took me a few years, but I rebuilt everything and did a lot of it while I was going away for school. If you were to have a good running and driving donor truck that was just rotted out or in an accident, it’d be a lot quicker.
