Decent movie but I kind of almost fell asleep towards the end. I don't think very much new territory was treaded here besides the Long Legs character himself but we don't get enough questions answered about him to build up any lore that would have made him even more spooky. Heard a lot of comparisons to Silence of the Lambs too, and while there are some thematic similarities Silence of the Lambs is still a much more masterful presentation of the same genre. Visually it looked great. Maika, is one of my favorite up and comers along with Mia but her role also seems a little flat in this one. Not enough layers to her. Anyway just my thoughts.

Legit couldn’t agree more. Felt like this flick was soulless and kind of a cash grab. Strip away all the 80s put-on sheen, fake film grain…and just overall trickery…and this movie isn’t really anything! Enjoyed your outlook!

I completely agree with you, Seph. I saw it this weekend and felt somewhat disappointed. While it was cool, it wouldn't top my rewatch list like "Pearl." Lily Collins' character was severely underutilized, and Kevin's character came off as overly clichéd and melodramatic. There was so much potential to explore Mia Goth's range further. Maxxine often seemed disconnected from her own story, and the Nightstalker subplot felt like a weak red herring at best. I think T.I. missed the mark by not emphasizing how much Hollywood and fame meant to Maxxine. If he had focused on Maxxine being a dark horse in LA due to her porn background, and doubled down on her delusion and the industry's exploitation, it could have provided her with an opportunity to go completely off the rails. Exploring her competitiveness with other women from the beginning would have been compelling. They could still have delved into the cult aspect, but with a Hollywood elite Scientology angle. T.I. played it too safe with this one. The crazed daddy stuff at the end just seemed misplaced.

Loved how you changed up your intro to a vintage old school looking version, very cool adds like a gritty mood. Also, thought the SpongeBob edit in with the light switch was hilarious. ☕

Intro was on point, city was on point, buildings were pointy, trailer review on point and Nosferatu maybe not on point. I’m curious if it’s an artistic twist and the big jacket is a pump cover he’ll take off to reveal his massive jacked physique. 💪🏼 I’m curious what Nosferatu’s gym looks like and if he’s accepting new members to eternal pump. 🤔

Alright, so loved your commentary. You point out a lot of different elements in the movie like the expressionist style of the shadows/architecture used, and overall visuals. Can’t forget about the SpongeBob scene which added a little humor to the commentary. Cool stuff dude, keep it up.
