I do not like it when people defend corporations. What good does it do? For example, the newest generation of Littlest Pet Shop have terrible quality control. Even if there is multiple of the same toy pack on a shelf, it is impossible for me to find one that does not have a horrible paint job. But when people criticize this, there are always fans who say "Stop being ungrateful, just be happy we are getting new pets at all!" It is very unproductive. Companies aren't doing any favors for customers to be "grateful" for, their only goal is to make as much money as possible.

For ons is just &10 but for Mattel it’s is a lot of money, I think the Prius of &35 was just to make people wants the doll. Because I live in the Netherlands the doll will be almost €100😅 I pass

Mattel hearing you talk shit and causing your stand to break 😂 My Haunt Couture clip broke recently so I had to switch it out with another. Some of the collector stands (like Fantasea Lagoona has a plastic stand clip which is more bendy and less likely to break. I wish Mattel would use these for all the dolls. But forreal, the first time that collectors felt the pricing was fair and Mattel changes it last minute is crazy. LIke these companies dont want any goodwill from consumers anymore.

I mean seriously, where is the integrity of the company? There’s no way that price was a mistake. They sat down, had a meeting, and came up with that original price. They thought abt it and said, we could get more money and the rest is history. Greed. That’s all it is.

Mattell can't sucker me with 'limited' editions. It's irritating when you pay over $100 for a 'special' Barbie and find a bag at Goodwill with three naked 'special' sculpts for 3 bucks.

It’s just plain unprofessional to switch a price like that last minute after advertising a product for a completely different price. These dolls companies are playing in our faces.

Even if the doll was originally supposed to be $45, I think Mattel could have handled this a lot better. I get that they want to make profit because, you know, capitalism, but do you think many people will buy the doll if she suddenly increases in price? It would have been fine if we already knew the doll would cost $45 but in this case I think it would have been better if they kept her at $35 because she will likely sell better, despite the price being a mistake. If they want to make more of a profit they could have a deal that if you buy this new doll, all other items you buy along with it will also get a discount. This way you don't force people to spend more but you make it an attractive option to make more money.

I don’t know if someone else commented this but the way you say the pink premiere dolls face sculpt name is “Oh-deel” it’s French and honestly the only reason I know this is because the “imposter Odette” in swan lake is named Odile and I worked on the costumes for a production of it like 10 years ago and that name was said like 12000 times 😂🤣😂🤣 but yea “oh-deel” also I wasn’t super interested in the Mave doll either so this debacle went right over my head.

I honestly think they should do a doll membership rather then having people pay for both a monster high membership and a barbie one or why not just a regular standard membership for everything or better yet don't make people pay a membership at all I honestly find this whole membership thing bullshit 😂

I just recently became interested in collecting Barbie. I have a few playline, and a couple collector quality dolls. I Purchased the membership for Barbie recently. I was considering this doll but this price changing situation makes me question whether or not I want to collect Barbie on Mattel creations period. It’s the principle of the situation. Do better Mattel! Or you’re going to lose a customer before this customer even gets started.

I do not know who Maeve is and why her design is so coveted, but I do agree that the last minute price change has more to do with the popularity of the doll than a miscommunication. If they made a mistake on the advertised price, then issue a statement before changing the price and give people a chance to make adjustments to their budget or change their minds about the doll. You are so right about all the added costs to the base price. Then that last minute change makes scalpers increase the cost of the doll in the second hand market too. It is ridiculous.

I was very excited for this doll release until I saw the price increase and I said: No mam! 35+10+30 of International Shipping I was going to paid that much for her cause I liked her but then with the new price increase I was going to paid way more so I decided to not getting her 🤷🏻‍♂️. I don’t feel bad cause I also have some other payments to do and I rather focus myself on that.

Sorry but the fault also lies with the people who buy from resellers and who are blind fans of Mattel and justify all their lack of quality and overpricing.

I threw all those Barbie stands in a box as backups. They break if you look at them. Idk why Mattel, a literal plastic company, can't just make the stands with a more durable material.

That bratz drop though was a complete blaze , I mean these companies like MGA and Mattel are not dumb as they want us to to think they are. I loved this as I am not a Barbie collector , but I am a Bratz collector, well was a Bratz collector. However their little stunt with just allowing the scalpers and the resellers to taunt and make fun of us collectors really burnt me out on the brand. I me I understand wanting to make a line limited edition, but how you gonna limit it to the scalpers only, to me they seemed to be working with the bot scalpers , as they saw what happened with Cady, and allowed it to happen with Regina doing little to zip to stop scalpers. And the Bestie, and put it in the burn book replies really sizzled my buns, because I have given mga and bratz thousands of my dollars, for them to make jokes at my cost. So I get people being angry over a price change, I personally have the monster high fang club membership, and it has not once benefitted me since I bought it. I think all of these companies need to stop with the gimmicks , and just release the dolls like in the old days. Make people camp out overnight in a car passenger seat , eatting cold Mcdonalds until a line starts to form. I stood in many a line to get collectors items, before companies went all online. It makes people accountable for themselves, you can identify the scalpers, and you make them feel real bad the entire time they stand there. It though gives everyone a fair chance to get the items. With the online it is to glitchy and fake , and really a pain in the toad stool. So I see right where people are angry 10 dollars in this economy is 10 bucks in gas, 2 5 buck meals at a restaurant. People don't just have a extra 10 bucks flying in the wind.

19:10 so the Bratz subreddit were complaining about the mods removing posts about Regina (that's me in the replies saying they need to relax lmao). It didn't actually have anything to do with MGA, the mods said they didn't want the whole subreddit full of posts basically all saying the same thing. Which makes sense in fairness, but it had only been a few hours so people were kinda like 'damn, just let us vent.' Plus, those mods go overboard removing random posts at the best of times.

I grew up in the 2000s and I also dont remember myscene. I was a huge bratz fan tho and had barbie. My guess is that maybe I didn't pay attention/ recieve myscene dolls as a kid. Or maybe I just thought they were barbie dolls and didnt remember their name/brand. But i find it odd i don't remember them as well lol.

I feel like MGA in general is kinda cursed. Isaac’s whole drive in life is to ruin Barbie it’s like he has no other motive and honestly I feel like(wether you want to believe this or not) it’s a lot of bad karma and literally they’ve never had a single doll line that’s just endless. LOL OMG seems like it might be that but even they seem to loosing steam. I didn’t get Cady but also didn’t navigate the website the first time beforehand which was my biggest mistake I think. I didn’t know to go to shop all, so like a lot of other people I was stuck refreshing the mean girls page (the wrong page) and by the time I figured it out she was obviously sold out.. this time I was really on my game, was on the shop all page refreshing it repeatedly from 8:58am (my time) and made sure my shop pay info was already in the bratz website ready to go so I could just press checkout immediately. I was put in line for two minutes so I thought for sure I wasn’t going to get her, as every time I get “put in line” for a doll I don’t end up getting it, but then I got the confirmation page that my purchase actually went through and I seriously could not believe it yall.. I really didn’t think I was going to get her. That being said I still think there is luck involved in getting any of these dolls at drop..

I was suppose to get Regina today but I overslept and forgot to turn on my alarm 💀 I'm not mad for that reason, I'm only mad because the ratio of people who got the doll verses didn't is even worse, and the CEO is boasting about it on social media. MGA is a multi billion dollar company, there's no excuse for them to not mass produce the dolls and make it accessible for everyone. doll collecting shouldn't be this stressful, and it breaks my heart seeing people get pysichally sick when they couldn't get regina due to stress and anxiety. I'm more than willing to look forward to future releases that MGA has in store, if any Bratz fans stops collecting/buying from mga I honestly do not blame them at all. all my homies hate MGA and Issac Larian
