Luke, yes understand. A lot of inexperienced investors rush in and have little funds left when a big move down happens and panic and sell out. It's why when the market does reverse down its creates a liqudity event where most all assets suffer initially due to loss of liquidity and panic selling. Fear and greed are strong emotional triggers and I still fight them myself I'd just say I'm a little wiser now but the tendency to panic is real.

ULTY has been an expirement since its inception. I labled it the "wildchild" cause it's unique in the YM family. One would hope it gets better (had a big Nav reduction. Part of that is their options strategy (covered calls) and seeking mainly High IV stocks. My guess its gets better but the jury will remain out. Yes they can add and they often do. I have often felt Elon could get TSLA turned around but timing was the thing. After diggin into his recent Annual shareholders meeting and seeing all the inner working i must say I'm super impressed. ELON is nothing short of brilland and works tirelessly. Optimus alone in the FUTURE could have a market cap of 25T greater than that of Tesla. if his lower end (cheaper model) follows the S Curve nnd succeeds like the other models TSLA will get turned around. I had alway felt he would turn it aorund in the future but THAT future might be sooner. He is an optimist and all that will be difficult but Im bullish again. i will wait to buy TLSa_TSLY on continuing signs of improvement but I can see it. 2025 will tell us. AIYY mixed signals.

Well it seems to use VIX futures. Did you read the full prospestus (I have not)? Debatable if it will perform in a sudden VIX spike since we have been in a low VIX environment for awhile thus increasing the odds that happens sooner going forward. Seems ok If it hedges in an upward vix move that's good just was not able to verify it in a quick glance.

Paul did you check my video with Intro to Yieldmax for beginners? It goes into Synthetics but not a deep dive. As you may have gathered all the single stock funds (which is all but 3 currently) utilize a sophisticated Options methodology which involves mimicing being long the security that the ETF is based on Like AMZY for Amazon, APLY for Apple. The ETF does not own the stock itself but buys calls in the underlying single security while at the same time selling Puts in the same security. Both bets are bullish bets and utilize a long stock position using the same strike price, quantity, and expiration date (typicall yout 1 to 2 months in time). The separately sell weekly calls against this same security on a weekly basis (some 5-15% out of the money) in an attmept to capture time decay premium present in all options. I track this activity daily in my videos of some of the funds i own and produce content on. Hope that helps.

thanks and welcome to the channel. Yes i'll cover hedging in my videos. While the hedging (like insurance for down moves) can involve buying a separate bear ETF on the same security or in some instances a sector (Like BTC) for MSTY, CONY, YBIT). There may be limited Bearish ETF's in some instances and it might invovle buying a put on the underlying security. Not all investors are options approved so I like the bearish ETF as an apporach when i find it. I'll cover those relative to my updates on specific funds or may post information in my discord as i grow that area.

There is a general consensus that the bull market goes into that time frame. If it does and tops at 105-125K then yes there will certaiinly be a healthy pullback. The real question always is to watch the chart patterns. I just saw an elliot wave forecast that had a shorterm wave pattern correction to 44k (50% retracement and a possible 61.8% retrace on BTC to 37K). Then the up move to 1t qtr 2025 to 120K BTC. There will always be many interpretations. I will be owning a small position in a bear ETF on BTC or a 2X bear ETF on BTC as protective positioning (hedging). It's impossible to know the exact movements short term or near term. I'm bullish on BTC longer term also so even a target of 105-125 when reached might be a pullback to 65-70 ish but once again will have a ru over time to a next up target of say 250. It's how oyu deploy caaitol duting the up and down moves. A lot of retail buyers buy at the tops and sell at the bottoms out of greed and fear.

Correct. YBIT as I mentioned has a lot of other ETFS in the BTC space. Once BTC via BITO breaks out it will run. If it continues to pay $1 and more each month that is a fabulous yield while i wait for a breakout.

YM (all single stock funds make income in 2 ways). Synthetics by buying a call and selling a put on the underlying (in GDXY it's GDX). So we want GDX the ETF to move up and the synthetics makes lots of cash. GDX will move up as the PM's (precious metals miners) move up in their earnings by selling their metals at much higher prices quarter over quarter. The covered calls (more accurately referred to as weeklies also collect money when GDX is going down or up moderatley capturing weekly income. We will make money every month on GDXY but we will make a much higher yield and larger payout monthly when GDX starts to move higher based on market accpetance. Today most people are chasing Ai and other topics not realizing a very undervalued asset class like PM's. I will talk about this along the way in different GDXY videos.

Yes pulling back. I Don't worry too much on short term moves. That 's day trader material. 66K is the lower end of the upper channel. If we break 66Kfor a few days that opens up a return possible to 56 maybe as low as 52K which is major support. We could bounce back from 66 and stay in the upper channel. Again i dont day trade it but that's the fundamental and probabilites. thanks for commenting

Maybe just add a black bar or border to the bottom. I'd really hate for you to change your whole red and blue color format. I watch mostly on PC so not sure if mobile has the same red on red issue. I'm still very bullish and long this fund. I just try to be realistic knowing some investors are impatient and expect immediate results. So i tamper my optimisim but also know this will have a fabulous run over the ensuing years. The guy who says why would i get avg yield know when i can much get better in another fund.

I own both. Different animals. CONY has gone between 18 to 30 twice. Volatility is rampant in BTC. Gotta expect that. YBIT is new and there is much competition in the BTC space with many large funds having launched Income BTC oriented ETFs. 20% NAV reduction in a short period is nothing at 81% yield.

thanks Duncan. Yes these funds are for real as I feel BTC is. Certainly volatile but nonetheless real. The biggest challenge will be the ability to hedge when the time comes (these markets can turn and sell off 20% at a time in the blink of an eye). Mini crashes go down much faster than the stair step slower grind up. Yes i think that is what Roth IRA's allow but always check with your tax profesisonal. Its easier to hold an asset that might go down some but is paying you montly. Glad to have you watching here. GDXY will be an upcoming great fund (not yet there) .I retired early based on my success with Precious metals and miners in the 2001 to 2010 timeframe. We are about to enter another such period along with BTC continuing its bullish rise. All volatile but that is part of the game.

@@taylorkaat-nn3nr If you recall my recent reference to it as "The Wildchild", What concerns me is the NAV reduction. This fund is entirely different from all the others. I think I will do a video on it specifically cause it has a great yield but a declining NAV. They are not a single security fund like the majority of YM funds. They are not a fund of funds like YMAG and YMAX either. So truly a wilchild. It appears they simply buy high IV stocks (the selection process) and write covered calls (true covered calls as they own the underlying). If they get dialed in on good securities then the NAV should improve. Time will tell. I own some but small in comparison to other funds i own.

Its a balanced strategy. just like the calls and the puts on a synthetic are always equal numbers of contracts. ' Ive often wondered if they would ever consider having different numbers (contract quantity) for the weeklies versus the contract numbers on the synthetics. S over 6 months i've enver seen a varation which leads me to believe they just didnt report it correctly or someone forget to do sell more weeklies. Likely one or the other likely happened.
