I try not to wear make-up every day but if I'm not working and I'm just running errands or at home or going to the gym, I just make sure on those days I put a bit more time into my skincare and I feel good to go as long as my hair is neat. I definitely feel better when I'm dressed up, and in the evening I like to get in my pyjamas and dressing gown and it tells my brain that this is my time now and I can relax and not feel obliged to answer the phone or the doorbell unless it's my parents

I agree, dressing modestly is empowering. I’ve always dressed modestly, by simple preference. Men are more likely to see, and treat, one as a person, rather than as a sex object, if we dress modestly.
