I had to learn how to "swing the prop" on a 1947 T-Craft I used to rent over 50 years ago! It's pretty easy on those low compression 65 h.p. engines! But the larger engines with higher compression ration can be "Problematic"! To say the least.

flew a 182 jump plane from FL to Ill in 77 that had no functioning starter. freaked out the FBOs we stopped and got gas at when we hand propped it. no big deal.

I have done very similar with Woodprix designs.

My dad first flew a Luscombe. He sold it before I was born. Sold it for an Ercoupe N***** . Changed my diaper on that wing. I learned to fly in N*****. Flying Ercoupes is like playing on a playground. They're that sweet.

The pilot is at the controls - brakes, rudder, throttle, mixture, and fuel shutoff. The brakes are checked by pushing on the prop, as you can see in the video. Why would you want to have to go close to the airplane to remove chocks? Get out of the way of the propeller and the pilot so he can taxi away.

Hey, that works! I like the carriage idea for the tailwheel. Was trying to come up with something similar for my ATV while the Sonex is still in the garage.

Which engine is used in this project????

We just modified the carb and tank mount to make them level. The motor is tipped 22 degrees. Runs better, static RPM would sometimes be below 2000 before. This motor comes with a plastic camshaft (!!!!) and is optimized for 2200 RPM. Time for a performance cam. I'd like to see 4500.

how many minutes per area? what if you buff too long and the heat builds up? You used Grade F9? why not C it said c was for unpolished aluminum
