The east side has bigger greens and you have more open spaces to miss and still have a shot from the other fairway. The west side has big trees that that if you get behind them, you have a hard time getting back out. Much smaller greens and a lot of areas right and left to lose your ball.

Good post Buddy. Appreciate you for standing up for Sharp Park. I'm planning the Dad and Brother golf trip to SF in 1 month. We have Half Moon Ocean and Presidio booked. It's looking like Lincoln Park or Sharp Park for the 3rd round. I'm leaning more towards Lincoln as Sharp Park looks a little under-maintained, but I sure wish I had more time to play them all

I STAYED A RESORT THAT HAD A GOLF COURSE NEAR GREAGLE THAT WAS CLOSING DOWN IN 2009 WHEN I VISITED. THE GOLF COURSE WAS OVER GROWN AND NOT USASABLE. I'M LOOKING FOR THE NAME OF THE RESORT. COULD IT BE THE PROPERTY THE NAKOMA INN BOUGHT? WAS THE DRAGON GOLF COURSE ORIGINALLY THE OVERGROWN, UNUSABLE COURSE I SAW BACK IN 2009?

Was great to hear your take. I love this course during the spring and summer. Don't play the course around Halloween, they set it up in a format that is called Trail of Terrors. Pin placement on every green is in a location that your ball will never hold, and the tee boxes are moved to weird locations.

The Ranch course is nice but very expensive to stay and play. I've played the River about 100 times. Still nice. I would make a great golf & wine weekend playing The River, La Purisima (in the morning) and The Mission Course in Vandenburg Village.

Golf is a hard enough game in perfect weather. In wind like that at Bodega Bay, it’s impossible and definitely no fun.

Just played there for the first time a few weeks ago and it was a fun (and very challenging) course. You were absolutely right when you said the course is about precision. Can't wait to go back and play again!

You definitely have to go back when its dry and give your opinion on the greens after that, because I think they are on the upper side of great putting greens normally. Also, I love to walk a course as well, but you aren't walking a full 18 on the course and if you do, I'll buy you a beer 🤣😂.

I played there once and left with the impression that it was a long iron players course. We had a long wait on 17 and when we got to 18, there was group on the green, a group in the fairway, a group on the tee and 5 groups waiting. I wasn't going to wait over an hour to play one hole, so we left.
