This stuff is awesome! Just got mine in the mail yesterday and to me it smells like the original! I still have an old bottle of OS fresh that I have been hanging on to for years! Now that I have found Fresco I’m convinced FAA has replicated the formula. This stuff is awesome. Bought deodorant stick too

I need to test this, but been having problems finding a vintage bottle - though I know citrusy perfumes tend to sour and not age well.... By the way, I am also a fan of citrusy - lime, lemon and verbena in particular - fragrances, even though they do not last long...

Was searching for my spouse. I know zero about male cologne and went hyper fixated for hours with vintage cologne and then perfume! We survive with our pensions now so it was nice to find mini/lots at a cost i can afford... What really got my attention was 'faberge' ... So as in the Faberge EGG? Also wondered if vintages turn rancid. I googled and your video appeared. I subbed so I can buy him something really very nice. Even if it is only a sample/mini! I'd rather gift him with one or two dabs of originals over never ever affordable moderns, if I make sense lol

I really appreciate the perfumery of this fragrance. It reminds me of what Terre D'Hermes EDT might be, if they did a Cologne version.

Ive never thought of Brut as powdery, but I guess when people say that i sort of smell it in there. I hate powdery normally but love Brut. Its one of those aftershaves that my dad had when i was like 15 and I tried it. brings me back to the times I was discovering aftershaves. I only tried it a few times, wish I had tried it way more now that its such a rare old item and the new stuff isnt the same. I still like the new stuff, been wearing different brut greens lately. Theres a bunch of different brut greens out lol. ALL similar but different. wtf brut. Theres brut signature scent, brut classic, brut original. ALl in aftershaves and colognes, edt, or spray can. JEeeez.

This one was a blind buy for me, as I love old school "barbershop" fragrances. I was not disappointed! I love this scent, and it's become my go-to fragrance ever since. Great fragrance!

It's my favorite daily driver fragrance and currently my favorite from Chanel. It'll be forever in my rotation.

I’m not a cologne wearer but back in 1981 I met Dean Martin and shook his hand. About 90 minutes later I happened to rub my nose with my hand and I smelled the most marvelous scent I had ever experienced. I did not want to wash my hand for a week. I read some books on Dean and found out that what I smelled was Woodhue. I was able to purchase an actual half used bottle on eBay and although it had turned slightly, you could still make out the original smell.

What an amazing review! Very informative. I use the Old Spice after shave here in India almost every other day and I guess the smell you described here matches my experience quite well. Especially after the alcohol evaporates. It's a Rosey-Vanilla-Spicy-Powdery scent....very refreshing and yet at the same time, very comforting!

Mr. Ryan, this is a great video on Pinaud Clubman. I came across Clubman watching a video about barber shop fragrances. I just realized I am old school. I wear Quorum, Agua Brava, Brut, and Pinaud Clubman. I shave at night, so I wear them before I go to sleep. Currently I am wearing Pinaud Clubman Reserve, it is a stronger scent. They are after shaves, I have not worn the classic Pinaud during the day. I will give a try. GOD Bless Mr. Ryan!!

100% agree that an atomizer is the best way to apply aftershave!

Penaud, is pronounced Pay-know. This is in my top 3 with Brute and Old Spice. These are old barber smells.

Brut Original is great for it's price. I would say it does not last for 4 hrs. After 1 hour it stars to fade real quick. Sadly it's pretty weak EDT. If you want stronger, go for the Brut Classic EDT or the Brut Special Reverve EDT with silver medallion on it.

Does it smell anything like Azzaro pour Homme ? Only asking because of the Anise note. Thanks.

Aftershaves are more of a personal scent thing to wear I don’t want everyone to smell what I have on my face unless it’s someone that will be super close to me like my lady or child cologne is to smell good for yourself and others. A good signature aftershaves scent is Executive Man by Stirling Soaps subtle yet smells so good it’s their take on Creed Aventus

It’s best used in a rotation same as old spice that scent used everyday gets old fast

The modern old spice is definitely diluted down as the scent doesnt last as long - i used to wear this in the 80s and it lasted all night now when i splash it on you cant smell it after an hour or so

You sample the aromas like a pro whine sampler. My Dad used Old Spice during the 60's and 70's. I remember the 70's when I was a very young boy. I was fascinated with Dads Old Spice Cologne, Aftershave and Talc. Among many things, he left me all his Old Spice stuff. I love the aroma and I use it every day to this day. Primarily because it reminds me of my Dad, so I love the Old Spice range like family. I miss my Dad very much.

What is the price please?

I just got an unopened Shulton Old Spice aftershave and talc gift set from the 80s off Vinted for £6. It seems to be in very good condition, probably because it's never been opened. I am so, so happy with it because I get such a strong carnation note which I adore as well as a vanillary, powdery amber dry down, you're so right about the almost gourmand aspect to the fragrance. There are so few scents with carnation and it's a fragrance I've always loved, I'm overjoyed to have this scent in my perfume drawer. I'm excited to wear this, I don't care that it's officially a man's scent, it really suits my skin.

Unfortunately you don’t really know what you’re getting with splash colognes when you buy them used. It might be 25% vintage topped off with some of the newer. For that reason, I don’t buy them. Good review though. Also, those bigger bottles are probably the 3 oz bottles.

My father, grandfather, & great-grandfather wore Old Spice. I loved it. I bought my father some a couple of years ago & you can tell the formula has been changed. I do not like it, neither does my mother.

The old spice original indian virsion is so good please try that i am from India

Old Guy here. My Dad wore the original. My generation liked it well enough, but our girlfriends hated it. You are correct about it going out of fashion and coming back in almost an ironic popularity. It's similar to the Pabst Blue Ribbon story arc.

I had the same perception of the menthol presence. I think we have the same skin.

Hello, I am a new subscriber. This was an excellent review. I like the concept of your channel and the way you do your review (only seen this one so far). I am hoping you could tell us about the experienced you had with this Sandalwood fragrance after you had transferred it over to a sprayer bottle (which is in my opinion also would give a better impression - better than the splash), and also give us some feedbacks and final thoughts after wearing it for a while.

This has been one of my favorites for years. I got a sample when it just came out. I was about 20 years old back then. i love the drydown. It gets an almost creamy freshness. Great video man!!!

i am more then disappointed in the new old spice.. i think it is a very watered down version with just a hint of the original

the original was way more spicy. the newer stuff has more citrus and sweetness. and also alot lighter. old stuff was super strong
