I never knew that firefighters / paramedics had to be tased as part of the training, I always thought it was done in the military and police academy. Great video
I have never been shot by a taser. But judging by this video, it looks painful

I remember getting tased in the police academy. I'd rather be tased than pepper sprayed. Tase is done in 5 seconds. Pepper spray lasts awhile.

@joseph, spoken like someone who's never been tased before. 1. It doesn't hurt if done correctly (the probes need at least 1 foot apart from each other for NMI(neuromuscular incapacitation)). 2. The buff guy? He didn't cry, nor call out for his mom.

Does the Taser deliver a Direct Current or Alternating Current electric charge to the assailant? If it’s AC, my guess is the ECG would most likely look like a paced rhythm, matching the frequency of the Taser, like someone with an internal pacemaker. If it’s DC, I reckon there would be that much electrical ‘noise’ from the Taser that the ECG will be totally non-interpretable

Why wouldn’t you assess SPo2 before putting the patient on 15 lpm via a nrb mask?
If you give a patient High flow 02, 15 lpm via NRB you cannot fail the station. The text recommends the EMT keep the patient's sp02 between 94-99%, the NREMT sheets are imperfectly written and do not reflect that guideline. If the goal is to pass the skill station, high flow 02 is indicated and acceptable whereas low flow may not be adequate and could result in a failure.
CPR is very important you can save people's lives the paramedics and firemen deserve a lot of credit also there service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks to everyone who responds job well done you should be proud appreciate you guys thanks ! Joe
