He actually matured so much over time to the point of where when Leo was traumatised and as such moody (more so than Raph even), Raph at one point took up the leadership role in the episode with the Rat King and kept a level head. He even let Leo take the Rat King on by himself which seems horrible as he’s very strong but Raph noticed Leo had more than one monster to fight and since he’s been in that situation countless times, he knows the best thing to do is let him handle it while still saying if something happens to him, he’ll jump in. Also when Leo hurts Splinter, you may realise he says literally the same thing Leo said to him with Mikey which shows his growth.

I love them all, but Raphael was always my favourite as a kid. He was the angry muscle of the team, but there were moments when he could feel deeper than even the others could. That’s what I like about him, he’s angry but very soulful if that makes sense
