"TODD RUNDGREN & UTOPIA: An Evening With Utopia" - (LIVE 1982)
I watched Kenny Rogers & The First Edition on "Rollin' On The River" in the early 70s. Little did I know that a few years later I would go to work for Kenny as his Road Manager. Our second gig was alternating in the lounge at Harrah's Reno with Paul Revere & The Raiders in 1976. And how many of you knew what a great bass player Kenny was?
Very interesting. Someone should have thrown that freaking whistle in the closest river, though.
A very good documentary I just wish there were fewer repeats.
God, she sounds amazing. They all do. Her voice is just incredible.
Best British Rawk Band. Notice Bobby Sherman, one of the Many Drummers on "Long Tall Shorty".
Love the Shangri-La’s from New York. Two sets of sisters, who then became a trio down the road.
Female Drummer, WOW. Love this music invasion. Peter and Gordon. Peter Asher, Jane Asher’s brother, and Paul McCartney’s many years gal pal until he met his future wife. HYSTERICAL Milk Commercial . Seriously, Milk is for cows !!! Freddy/Dreamers, who did your choreo? HA HA…..
My music from my era. Nothing like it!!! Can’t believe how many stars in this compilation. A W E S O M E
I love Paul, but it's easy to say"no need" imagine getting your money stolen and you can't even track down the piece of shite..smh..it's bloody sick. I feel.bad for this band and the two who took themselves out. The band really should have checked out this polley mother fukcer before anything..they should have asked the Beatles for advice. Not that they were perfect with management. It's just so sad. Bad finger were brilliant. Good songs. It's why I'm glad Peter Grant took care of Zeppelin and not let any suits take advantage.👍🏻
I chauffeured for Paul's record label Swan Song. At Fort Worth arena. He sounded bad when I heard "all right now". . Throughout the concert he was drinking alot of beer. On stage and afterwards he played older black women songs on the turntable. I spent my time talking to Robert Fripp's base player. He was super nice to me. I mentioned John Wetton was in town with UK. He really enjoyed hearing that.
What a band! These songs still go right through me like osmosis! They are timeless in a time where there ain't much stuff being written and recorded that has true essence. The Animals were really ahead of the soul game early on and uniquely genuine in every way! Really cool and said something to the world. Nice.
I have the 2000 Memphis show, complete
I'd love to see that one too!
It's audio not on video.
Gone too soon 😢
Lou Gramms voice is KILLER. Absolutely like no other. You never tire listening to it, it’s always pitch perfect and clear as a bell that smoothly carries- just awesome.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love the Les Paul guitar riff.❤️
WAAAAAYYY TOO MANY ADS. It’s disruptive when watching to the point of it not being enjoyable. Disappointing.
They were a contraceptive.
I think I saw them that year at the Torrington in North Finchley.
But Tom was in badfinger before Joey, why did Joey get to tour as badfinger?
Myron Grombacher is one hell of a drummer...he puts a lot of flash and energy to his style. From what I remember he says he was a dancer in his younger years and "dances" behind the set. Good stuff.
Love was out to get me?? Dardanup tadoo!! Lol 😂I love it? The Princess entwined? Believe Davy Jones did infact date her ??? Her name was Gillian?
Thank you so much...
👇
I didn’t know Bill Hader was in The Yardbirds.
This video gives me the chills! Awesome band! We're booked to see them with April Wine & Headpins on April 26th, 2025 at the Great Canadian Casino Resort (Woodbine Racetrack) Three for the price of one! When many Canadians are affected by this inflation, this is a GREAT deal!
Maybe Johnny was a native American Indian in his past life, and he felt the affinity to the native people.
What a show..the first concert..I attended..This Show in Oakland
It changed My life..
A much simpler time. Long gone but never forgotten.
That's Sky Saxon at 6:07
Anybody know the name of the last song on video?Acoustic song at the end…
This is great thanks. Love Badfinger
Spyder is the MAN! Such a presence on stage and his style and tone are unmistakable
Un tremenda banda
Was this the concert that was recorded at the Haven Coliseum.
Yes
Dennis is a hoot during this gig. Tempo stable? Nah, Denny's not into that. Wild rock n roll energy and power ? Oh yes. That nutso stuff he does in the middle of Shut Down is rock crazy personified.
❤❤❤❤TAYLOR SWIFT DOESNT COMPARE TO MRS PAT BENATAR. .PAT WILL blow HER OFF THE STAGE....
Truth, but no one today compares to Pat.
I remember my babysitter went to this show.
BTO ..CANADA'S FINEST..
Thank you!
Supreme voice & band …. Still loving it in 2024 after all these years
❤❤❤❤
The Ramones sound like they’re afraid of hard work, how can he not have known what he was doing after producing over a hundred records prior to that and spent hours making sure the sound of each chord was just right. It’s one of their top 3 best albums sonically and their last great album, the only issue with it was the songwriting in parts was weak, not the production which was its saving grace. The real issue was that Spector was only interested in Joey’s voice, Joey remained silent.
What a tragedy!, an absolute musical tragedy !!!!. :(((((
Do people know that Keith Olsen died in March of 2020 ???
8:58 “I Dig Love”! Looks like Spector had more of a hand in that record than he was given credit for, Harrison said he had only suggested adding a synth part in the beginning yet it sounds like a Spector production and here he is playing the riff years earlier.
👍
¡Acojonante!
What great guitar playing, what fire and timing!
I'm never inclined to pass judgement when someone takes their own life. It was easy for Paul to say there was "no need", but I believe we all have our breaking point. What they endured was unforgivable.
