I recently got custom fit for the new Mizuno Hot Metal Pro long irons at the Mizuno Tour Performance Studio as part of the new Tour Fit Experience. It was a lot of fun and i can highly recommended it.

What a con! In the test video the 'premium' club is inserted off-centre by about 10 degrees and then twisted straight before release. No wonder it oscillates! Not saying the TPT shaft is no good, but I don't like dishonest marketing.
If you two could have had lavalier microphones, this video would have been a lot better. Also, if you could have shown the trackman data in the video. So close!
I agree, however the trackman report was lost by Titleist so I couldn’t do anything about that, unfortunately 👍
@@golfnation_718 no worries! Thanks for posting. Still trying to figure out if I want TSi2 or TSi3 Also, good looking swing btw. And you showed me how you can use a real tee with a true strike mat! Thanks for that lol
@@KennyKeebs if u want accuracy and a driver that’s easy to strike then u probably want a TSi2. If you’re a good driver of the ball and want a bit of extra ball speed and like a more compact head shape then u probably want a TSi3

thomas nicholson no, u have to flick the switch on the side to reset it to standard mode.

Nice video mate, it's quite helpful because I'm exactly in the same situation as you in terms of speed but I don't like the feel of X shafts, I like to feel the shaft loading and releasing, it helps with my tempo and I am not tempted to overswing it. Any recent update after playing it a bit longer? I got fit into a driver and really don't like the shaft, I'm considering getting a TPT. Thanks for your feedback.
So are going to tell me that in the consistency test video clip the fact that the TPT head is squared compared to the other which is not squared, had no effect on the test? Lol
Great video. I was really able to get a good understanding of how they would perform just by your description. My golf pro fits for this shaft, so I may definitely set up a fitting. I'd love that kind if confidence on the tee box.

Just found your channel and many thanks for some useful info on the G400 MAX and also the TPT Shaft. I`m just off to sell a Kidney! Seriously, I`m looking to swop my G30 SFT (as a senior I tend to leave the face open and get the odd weak slice) for either the MAX or the G400 SFT. Do you have any thoughts on which would be better for an "OLD UN" Ps where abouts in the North West are you from?

The small hosel insignia, plus & minus, flatten the lie angle, which is nice. The larger +/- do not have this flattening effect. FYI. Thanks!

Would you say it's important to have iron shafts and wedge shafts matching. I currently have NSpro modus 3 tour 105 S in the irons so pretty light. And needing new wedges so would you recommend to get the same shafts because usually I've just used the standard wedge shaft. What are your thoughts on this
thomas nicholson if u want virtually the same feel with your wedges as you get with your irons, then using the same shafts is the best thing to do. However, certain shaft companies make specialist shafts for wedges which spin more than their irons shafts. I’ll use KBS for example, they have a HI-REV wedge shaft which is quite popular on tour. But ultimately it’s down to your own personal preferences with feel.

I’m crazy for saying this but I just sold my ST-180 and I’m leaning towards this or the TM M3 Also looking at the Rogue and GT-180 I love the feel of the ST-180 but the spin was a little too low for my liking. Great rundown btw

Cornwall1888 Yeahhhhh I’ve had the driver since late Nov, it was released early at Carl’s Golfland by me and after initially testing it out on the TrackMan Range I HAD to go get fitted for it, the feel is incredible, so after the fitting I was fitted into a Tensei Blue 60 Stiff, 1/2” cut from the top, in early January I was at an indoor sim playing pebble beach(lol) and the shaft snapped in half on a long par 4 that I was attacking, it literally devastated me, luckily a buddy of mine in Ohio gave me a great deal on a new Kuro Kage Proto 60 TS and he immediately sent it out to me, went to the range and went through a few buckets, noticed that the spin was a little lower with the new shaft but nothing too alarming, about a week later I went to my golf lesson at a nearby club, my instructor noticed that my launch angle and spin was a little too low so we adjusted the loft up 1 degree to 10, launch was a little higher but spin was still under 1900 rpm, in turn my toe and heel shots were ALL OVER the place and the higher we put the loft, the launch angle was way too high so putting it in summary, I need a little more forgiveness in my driver and my instructor and I both believe that this ST-180 is an excellent driver but primarily for higher swing speeds, with my slower tempo and steeper attack angle I wasn’t getting the most out of the driver, I truly believe I’ll be better off with a G400 max or a rogue, prior to the Mizuno I was gaming an Epic and that suited my swing a little better. So yeah I should have tested out a few more before buying it lol live and learn I guess...
Mike Cerniglia I’ll be testing m4 and g400 max in the next few weeks, like the idea of ping tour shaft because they are shorter which can lead time better strikes less spin and more distance Cutting your shaft may have made it stiffer, changed swing weight and lead to even less spin than you were originally fitted for
Cornwall1888 try the g400 sft. I got the max and actually wish I would have bought the SF-TEC.
I've got the G400 Lst best driver I have ever had full stop. Sound and feel is much better than the Ping G which was a bit tinny for me.
How do you find it against normal G400, which one is longer for you? Can you do head to head with the TPT shaft?
