@@RaisintheBudgie I doubt it. They were "rescues" left behind by a renter who kept them (at that time there were 4) in 1 small cage for 1 1/2 yrs, never letting them out! Now they have 3 large cages connected like a suite, but are allowed to fly free 85% of the day. I think my lead bird is still angry about his former caged life, and it's too late to train since they all have a fly-free flock mentality. My one female laid 8 eggs last year, but only 2 hatched. She now won't let ANY male near her! Her 2 babies are the friendliest, will go on my hand in the morning only, but then fly free & ignore me like the rest of the flock for the remainder of the day. Anyhoo, love your video!!! THX so much for posting! Maybe ONE fine day my loud squawker will take note, LOL

Hey Bear. I don’t think there is any benefit normally. Raisin is scared of the male budgies, gets bored of the females quickly and loves to be carried around by me. I homeschool the kids so I have a lot of time for him, but the mirror and RUclips give me a little break. I’m transitioning to no mirrors though as it’s unhygienic, even with all the cleaning 😁 The other budgies don’t have mirrors as they are used to a flock/cagemate. Raisin was caged alone when we got him.

Hey darling Sugar 😘🦜

Raisin was caged alone when we got him (parents became violent) so he came out of cage onto my finger on day 3 and prefers humans to Budgies. Our other Budgies who grew up with Budgies are not tame like Raisin but eat millet from our hands and fly onto our heads and arms momentarily. It took them months to warm to us, but they settled and sang with each other and to us through cage quickly.. I’m wondering if she would be happier with a friend? Hope she settles and warms to you soon 🦜

What a cute name! 🤩😍 I talk to Raisin like he’s another human, ask him questions and talk about what’s happening around us. I did it to comfort him when we first got him, I never expected he would talk back and show understanding of the words 🤯 They’re amazing little things! 🦜💙
